About this deal

This decline in pub culture was the impetus for the Where’s My Boozer Gone? campaign, in which the Geezers modelled for a nude calendar inside the Eleanor Arms pub. Thirty-five Tower Hamlets pubs have since been protected from development (for now). The Geezers’ nudes weren’t directly credited for this, but we know. We know. Changing times

As the Geezers and Dan ran through the King’s Castle, the Geezers noticed the Resistance members were looting dead Executives and stole from stores, they started to have doubts about the Resistance’s true purpose. When they witnessed one of the Ninja Rebels interrogate one of the King’s Guards they captured, they became curious why the Resistance is more interested in finding the King’s location rather than help the enslaved Villagers.Once inside we found ourselves surrounded by cases of biscuit moulds, advertising and biscuit tins. The walls of the museum are adorned with long service certificates and various awards given to staff. Rows of chairs had been set out in the centre for an introductory talk. A Peek Frean long service award 1936 In the first half of 2023, more than 380 pubs were demolished or converted for other uses across England and Wales. The statistics are particularly grave for our borough: between 2001 and 2018, 36% of pubs in Tower Hamlets closed.

Members of the Bow Geezers Club collaborated with Jerram Falkus Construction Company and local artists to transform an empty hoarding into a mural paying homage to the countless closed pubs of Tower Hamlets. Gipson played as a defender, and his team is and has always been Leyton Orient. ‘‘My heart’s always been with them.’ He would walk to games because the shilling his mother gave him was just enough to get in. Then when the game was over, he would collect autographs and walk home. We have met so many interesting people and feel the project has broadened our minds as well as horizons. Working with MDX engineers, members of the Geezers Club – a group of retired men who meet at an Age UK centre in Bow, in east London – designed two floating waterwheels driven by tidal flows that pump air into water to help fish and wildlife. This shows that despite them not interacting much, Barry seems to be on good terms with them regardless.

I asked Frank if they had any photos of the manufacturing process. Yes, were photo albums of them in the office cupboard. These people don't get their self esteem from their jobs or their education. They express themselves through brands. As such they put a huge store on premium brands.' Gary said that Peek Freans was the first factory in London to be supplied by electricity. I later read that in 1891 the London Electric Supply Corporation opened Deptford Power Station supplying the UK’s first AC power. Their cables ran alongside the railway, so this would make sense. Another early instance of "old geezer" appears in a bit of doggerel from J.H. Coyne, identified as "a member of the Chicago Press Club," in Tobacco: An Illustrated Weekly Journal for the Wholesale and Retail (October 18, 1889):
