About this deal

The Cybermen, who just recently appeared on television with the Twelfth Doctor and Missy in the epic Series 10 finale, World Enough And Time / The Doctor Falls, first appeared over fifty years ago! Hailing from Mondas, the Cybermen tried to invade Earth but, thankfully, the First Doctor was on hand to help out in the 1966 classic, The Tenth Planet. Over the years, the Cybermen battled the Time Lord time and again – and almost every time with a shiny new upgrade. Read more here. Must Watch Stories: What can we say about the Daleks that hasn’t already been said many, many times before?! Hargreaves not only captures their characters nicely (even makes Adric a bit annoying - or was that a bit of projection on my part? :) ), but fits them all into one short Mr Man length story. The other thing I was pleasantly surprised by was how Adam Hargreaves had certainly done his homework on this one. Or rather, of all his research (I understand he's not a Doctor Who fan, and had to do a lot of reading and watching to get his stories), I was impressed by the thins one in particular since it features one of the most crowded TARDIS crews in the show's history. Dr. Fourth is a children's picture book written and illustrated by Adam Hargreaves and is a part of the Doctor Who Meets Mr Men and Little Miss series, which tells a story about the Fourth Doctor on the run with his companion, Sarah Jane Smith, from the Daleks who are chasing them. Today is National Dr Who/T.A.R.D.I.S. Day (23 November) and I thought it would be apropos to read this today. This hairy beast is not as cute as it might appear! In actual fact, however, in Doctor Who the Yeti were robots created by The Great Intelligence in the Second Doctor era (The Great Intelligence would go on to return and face the Eleventh Doctor and Clara in Series Seven). Appearing in 1930s Tibet and then in the Underground in Sixties London, the Yeti are a fearsome foe whose war cry sounds not unlike a very slow toilet flush. A Yeti also made a brief cameo in 20th Anniversary Special, The Five Doctors, but it’s unclear if this was real or robot… Read more here. The illustrations are a perfect combination between the Doctor Who and the Mr Men and Little Miss universes. The Fifth Doctor depicted really looks like Peter Davison from the Mr Men and Little Miss universe.

Dr. Men was a series of Mr. Men books focusing on incarnations of the Doctor, from the Dr. Who franchise, published by Puffin Books and written by Adam Hargreaves.

After More?

Next month sees the release of the next four titles in the Dr. Men book range, celebrating two of the world’s most iconic franchises, Doctor Who and Mr. Men. I’m sure many will look forward to adding these, and the already seen other Doctors (In The Books) to their collection along with we hope a Dr. Thirteenth! The stories are set in a fictional universe called "Misterland", which is inhabited by the Mr. Men and Little Misses themselves, as well as some ordinary human characters such as shopkeepers, doctors and postmen. There are also various animals; Walter the Worm is the main animal who appears frequently. [12] The characters are human in their behaviours and attributes. a b 20th Century Fox Film (27 January 2015).
