The strange name of this blaster is thought to have come from the combination of the words “ scavenger” and “ scrap.” Imagine if your nerf gun could eject shells after every round like a real firearm? We’ll dream no longer because the Winchester 1887 Lever Action Shotgun does precisely that! A sad reality in the Nerf gun world is that many of the best blasters are not actually Nerf products. Instead, they are community or hobbyist projects that eventually sell commercially. Even the most powerful Nerf guns in the world are not Nerf-brand products! On some models, the jam door may be loose and may open unintentionally. This can be fixed by wedging a small piece of paper behind the hinge of the door or tightening the screws around the jam door.

Breech-action has been criticized for poor performance, as some blasters may cause darts to warp and bend when they are loaded. This spring-powered war machine can hold up to 32 nerf elite darts in its two massive drums and uses Nerf’s “flip shot” technology. The first thing you’ll notice when you take the Winchester 1887 out of the box is that it is hefty. This isn’t a cheap plastic toy that will break within a week and is made of solid aluminum and hard ABS plastic. The Slingfire comes with a 6-round magazine and six green Nerf elite darts but can be upgraded using any N-Strike Elite magazine—including a 25-round drum! Booyah! The SLAB is another exception; its trigger moves with the lever, allowing it to be held down while priming to enable slam fire.Firstly, it’s made pretty flimsy, and I’m sure the priming handle will be the first thing to break for many.
