About this deal

Chaos Cultists • Poxwalkers • Pestigor • Plague Zombies • Plague Ogryn • Thrall Wizard • Tzaangor • Tzaangor Enlightened • Tzaangor Shaman • Dark Disciple The technical specifications of the Heldrake have not yet been obtained by the Ordos of the Inquisition. Dark umbilical cables, sheathed in organic webbing, probe outwards from each Heldrake's body to burrow into the host voidship's outer surface, drawing away raw energy as a leech draws blood from its victim. When the Chaos warships arrive in low orbit, the Heldrakes detach themselves, unfurling their great wings as they plummet towards the atmosphere of the victim planet below. Helbrute • Ferrum Infernus Dreadnought • Contemptor Dreadnought • Sonic Dreadnought • Berserker Dreadnought • Hellforged Leviathan Dreadnought • Deredeo Dreadnought Raptors are now 15ppm (-3). That’s a massive drop for a unit that was already starting to look pretty good thanks to the Astartes Chainswords update.

Perhaps the most surprising part of the January FAQ update was the fact that it included points adjustments for a number of units. A welcome change, sure, but entirely unexpected! The document itself is essentially an entirely new Munitorum Field Manual, covering points for every unit in the game, laid out in the new Codex format (as opposed to listing wargear options separately). Blood Reaper • Blood Slaughterer • Blood Throne • Brass Scorpion • Cauldron of Blood • Death Dealer Rhino • Predator • Infernal Relic Predator • Vindicator • Land Raider • Land Raider Proteus • Land Raider Achilles • Land Raider Hades Diabolus • Relic Sicaran • Sicaran Venator • Maulerfiend • Forgefiend • Defiler • Brass Scorpion • Blood Slaughterer • Decimator • Blight Drone • Kytan • Plague Hulk • Venomcrawler • Whirlwind Scorpius The Heldrake is also armed with a single long-range weapon, a Hades Autocannon, that is located within its mouth. The Hades Autocannon is a massive six-barreled, rapid-firing Autocannon that allows the Heldrake to scythe down masses of enemy troops and aircraft with contemptuous ease. After so many centuries swooping through the Warp as pitiless hunters, the steersman's soul melds with that of their war engine until they are entirely subsumed. The pilot's physical form becomes an atrophied, foetal ball that burns deep in the core of the Daemon Engine where a natural beast would have a heart. The Heldrake and Maulerfiend now include their base weapons in their cost, but are otherwise unchanged. Heldrake • Stormbird • Thunderhawk • Storm Eagle • Fire Raptor • Hell Blade • Hell Talon • Harbinger • Dreadclaw • Kharybdis Bloodletters • Plaguebearers • Horror of Tzeentch • Daemonette • Nurglings • Beast of Nurgle • Plague Drone • Flamer • Screamer We highly recommend using the Citadel Plastic Glue and Colour System to bring this incredible miniature to life. Heldrake Components Blight Drone • Contagion • Foetid Bloat-Drone • Plagueburst Crawler • Myphitic Blight-Hauler • Plague Centurion • Plague Hulk • Plague Tower

Sorcerers and Chaos Lords get the DEATH GUARD title added to their names, so they’re now distinct units, hopefully with T5. Imperial Armour Volume Thirteen - War Machines of the Lost & The Damned by Andy Hoare, Alan Bligh and Neil Wylie, pg. 114

Deadly Pathogens are here too – these are the upgrades for plague weapons we saw previewed on Warhammer-Community. We don’t know what most of these do yet, but we do know that they cost between 10 and 20 points. Each of these adds +1 to the strength of the weapon, and the one we have seen – Viscous Death – costs 10 points for +1 strength and the ability to re-roll hit rolls. That’s pretty good, and we could see using that on a foul blightspawn or a Lord of Virulence. Some weapons have ‘Blast’ listed in their profile’s abilities. These are referred to as Blast weapons. In addition to the normal rules, the following rules apply to Blast weapons:

Sorcerer ( Balefire Acolyte) • Warpsmith • Dark Apostle • Master of Possession • Master of Execution • Lord Discordant • Warsmith • Apothecary • Infernus Abomination Chaos Lord • Exalted Champion • Sorcerer Lord • Daemon Prince • Dark Commune ( Cult Demagogue • Mindwitch • Iconrach • Blessed Blades) Helbrutes got a very weird points change, which is kind of a nerf – they’re now 110 points per model, which includes most of their weapon options, but averages out to a net increase for things like a pair of fists (+10) or fist + scourge (+5). The weapons you pay extra for now are Multi-meltas (+5), heavy flamers (+10), twin heavy bolters (+10), and twin lascannons (+20), as well as combi-bolters, which are now +5 points instead of 3. The result is that most builds got more expensive.

Used in both aerial and space battles, the Hell Talon has a sleek form resembling an elongated double-axe head. Vectored engines allow for superior manoeuvrability. Superior in combat to almost any Imperial airship of any class. Its armament consists of twin-linked lascannons, either an autocannon or Havoc Launchers, and incendiary bombs. [Needs Citation]

Heldrake Fear Squadron - Heldrake Fear Squadrons consist of at least three and up to five Heldrakes. These formations are usually the first sign of a Chaos invasion, as the Heldrakes shriek from the skies before the main body of the Chaotic invasion force.

The Heldrake is a winged Daemon Engine of Chaos that plummets out of the skies like a living comet, hurtling towards enemy aircraft and crashing claws-first into them from above. Each Heldrake is a vicious predator, hell-forged deep within the Warp. Death Guard Defilers are 160 points base now, reflecting that, at the very least, they’re WS/BS 3+ now.
