Place tool on the cable at gland point and advance cutting wheel down into the outer insulation. Rotate the tool around the cable to cut through outer insulation. Continue to advance cutting wheel into steel strands to required depth. Repeat insulation only cut approx 2” further along the cable.

Insert the wire into the correct notch, a few inches in, and close the jaws of the stripping tool a few inches from the end of the wire. If you have selected the correct gauge, the tool should cut through the insulation or sheath easily without damaging the core. Do not apply too much pressure to the handles Place tool on cable where secondary insulation is required to be removed. Advance cutting wheel and perform rotary cut to required depth.
