About this deal

I’m Kim. I love running, cooking, and curling up with a good book! Here you’ll find simple and delicious recipes that you can make in 30 minutes or less. KEEP IN TOUCH The Ninja Creami is an automatic ice cream maker but perhaps not as you know it. While traditional models freeze cold or room temperature ingredients as they churn, with the bowl having to be frozen beforehand, the Creami flips this process on its head. Instead, it requires you to freeze your mixture solid, before churning it into your frozen treat of choice. This speeds up the ice cream making process considerably, taking two to three minutes versus 30 minutes on average for traditional ice cream makers. The Ninja CREAMi is essentially a Pacojet at a tenth the cost and designed for occasional use in the home. The Pacojet was designed for use in a professional kitchen like a restaurant where durability and reliability during repeated constant use are important. Can you tell me whether the 16 oz and 24 oz pints use the same lids, or whether the Deluxe-size lids have a larger diameter?

In the Deluxe model, Ninja removed the Smoothie Bowl (personally, our least used feature, so will not be missed) and added 5 new programs: FUNCTIONALITY: Turn almost anything into ice cream, sorbet, milkshakes, and more..Wattage: 800 watts. Voltage: 120 volts Plus, once you’ve figured it out, it’s relatively simple to operate: pop your frozen ingredients in one of the supplied pint containers, freeze for 24 hours then drop into the outer container. This is then raised into place beneath the motor unit before being churned into ice cream. Italian Ice: This program turns sweetened, fruit-flavored water like lemonade into scoopable, frozen Italian Ice.With the Ninja® CREAMi® Deluxe, you can turn almost anything into ice cream and so much more. Make classic CREAMi® treats like ice cream, sorbet, gelato, and mix-in masterpieces. And now, make new CREAMi® scoopable and drinkable treats like Italian ice, Slushi, Creamiccino™, frozen yogurt, and frozen drinks right at home. Motor Base with Dual-Drive Motors and Creamify Technology™ that turns almost anything into a frozen treat Another striking flavor is this lemon cookie ice cream. The lemon extract adds a bright zip and cream cheese makes it super luscious. You’ll combine mini marshmallows with the standard Ninja Creami base of heavy cream, milk, and cream cheese.

The Pacojet is coveted by professional chefs and food enthusiasts but it’s pricey. Is the Ninja CREAMi a suitable alternative? LOOKING FOR MORE PINTS?: This unit is only compatible with the Ninja® CREAMi® NC500 pint accessories. It will NOT fit the NC100, NC200, NC299, and NC300 Series pints; please make sure you are purchasing for the correct unit. Whether you’re doing Christmas in the Bahamas or bundling up in the snowy mountains, everyone will be on board with this frozen eggnog.

Cost aside, there are a few smaller niggles. The first is that the Creami is very noisy. During the ice cream cycle, I measured it at an average of 86dB when measured from 1m away. To put that into perspective, the high-power Ninja 3-in-1 food processor and blender measured up to 88db in testing. The cycles last, at most, 2mins 30 seconds but it’s something to bear in mind if you’re sensitive to noise.

A detailed review that provides you with everything you need to know about the Ninja CREAMi ice cream and gelato maker. Another issue is that the Deluxe version is a little taller as you can see in the image below, although it still fits under the cabinets on our counter.A less obvious but important incompatibility is that most recipes you’ll find online were written for the original CREAMi’s 16 ounce pints. You can still use those recipes unchanged in the Deluxe but they won’t fill the Deluxe’s 24-ounce pints which defeats one of the Deluxe’s signature benefits. If you want to adapt a regular CREAMi recipe to fill a Deluxe pint, you’ll need to multiply the ingredients by 1.5. We’ve updated all of our Ninja Creami recipes to have a 1.5x button to make the recipes easier to adapt, as seen in the image below.

The Ninja CREAMi Deluxe (left) is a tighter fit under the kitchen cabinets than the original CREAMi (right) 3. Operating Processes Here’s one of my favorites for you to try, with dragon fruit and pineapple juice coming together for a vibrant and tropical treat. Once you start the CREAMi Deluxe it now asks you to select whether you’re processing the top half, bottom half, or full pint. From there you rotate the dial to select which program you want and press the dial to start the machine. One helpful convenience is that the Deluxe will tell you how many minutes a program will take before you run it and then count down the number of minutes left as it runs. By contrast, the original CREAMi had a simple four step progress indicator that let you know approximately how close the CREAMi was to being done but not how much actual time was left. Ninja Creami Deluxe (left) counts down the minutes for a program while the original Ninja Creami (right) does notOne last thing to note about the Creami is that it’s easy to clean. The blades detach from the lid with relative ease and these, along with all the other detachable parts are dishwasher-safe. Even if you don’t own a dishwasher, the parts are still very easy to clean by hand.
