When users get in their car, they start the engine and the kit immediately connects to their mobile phone. Thanks to the voice recognition feature of the Parrot hands free car kit, drivers say a name and the kit automatically dials the number.

The Parrot MKi9100 is a Bluetooth hands-free system with an OLED screen. A wireless remote control can be positioned on the steering wheel or dashboard and allows the driver to control all the functions of the MKi9100. After you enter the update process it is vital that it is not interrupted – you MUST wait for the unit to re-boot itself after the screen goes blank. If the unit does not re-boot after a minimum of 5 minutes, something has gone wrong. Unfortunately, your choices at this stage are rather limited. The MKi9100 will now re-boot. Please note that sometimes it will refuse to erase memory. Simply turn off the MKi9100 and try again.

The Parrot wireless remote control is used to access the settings menu on the MKi9200. This means that you cannot reset the MMi9200 without the remote. The only exception to this is if you have the Unika steering wheel interface instead of the remote, in which case it is possible.

The newer versions have compatibility / bug fixes and have a much shorter boot sequence ( turn on time). Update preparation Please note that the remote control MUST be able to be used with the MKi9100. If the remote does not work you will not be able to reset the MKi9100. All MKi remotes contain a CR2032 battery and it is common for people to forget to change them – they typically last a year to 18 months in normal use. Also, please note that the MKi remote control requires a CR2032 battery to operate, so if you have a remote that isn’t working would recommend the battery is changed first.
