The Catacombs are open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:45 am to 8:30 pm, last admission at 7:30 pm. The least crowded time of day to visit the Catacombs is the last two hours of the day. Visit Père Lachaise Cemetery The authors love for Paris shines in this book, she made me believe I was their experiencing it all with them.

Getting here:From Champs de Mars, walk to the Ecole-Militaire metro station. Take Line 8, direction Creteil, transferring at Concorde to line 1, direction Chateau de Vincennes, to Palais Royal Musee du Louvre. This is the largest modern art museum in Europe. It has an interesting design, with all of its plumbing and pipes located on the exterior of the museum, color-coded in vibrant colors. It’s definitely a unique sight to see. This is large museum and you could wander here for hours. From the top level of the museum you are treated to another wonderful view of Paris. Yes, the Eiffel Tower is super touristy but a visit to Paris would not be complete without a view from the tower, especially if this is your first time in Paris. Places that are closed on Monday will have larger than normal crowds on Sunday and Tuesday. Places that are closed on Tuesday will have larger crowds on Monday and Wednesday. This is just something to be aware of when planning your time. How to Adjust this Paris Itinerary The story is just wonderful as Juliet lays to rest the demons of her past. I found Thirty Days in Paris emotionally mature, intelligent and appealing so that Veronica Henry moved me to tears with her ability to convey Juliet’s inner thoughts and feelings so effectively. Despite the fact that Thirty Days in Paris is uplifting and liberating with love at its core, it tugs at the heart strings too with its vibrating, melancholic sense of missed opportunities and what might have been. At the same time, this is a story of hope and encouragement. Forget youth. Forget life beginning at forty. What Veronica Henry shows you is that life begins at whatever point an individual decides and all that is needed is to be a tiny bit brave. I thought this message was outstanding.The Paris metro is cheap, fast, and very efficient. While in the city center, you are never more than a 5-minute walk from a metro station. It costs roughly €13 per day for unlimited rides on the metro, so you can travel around Paris without spending a lot of money. I recommend the Paris Metro Map and Routes app (available for free in the Apple App Store) or something similar, which gives you real-time schedules and helps plan your metro routes through the city. Paris is the real star of the story. This is the Paris of love stories, full of lovely shops, beautiful art and friendly bar men, a Paris where all of the men are good looking and the women are impossibly well-dressed. It’s probably not very realistic on an every day basis but the book certainly made me want to revisit the city and to try and find some of Juliet’s bars, restaurants and markets. I thoroughly enjoyed Juliet’s friendship with both Nathalie and Olivier. There’s something quite wonderful about friendships that endure the pressures of time. To return to an earlier feeling of love and familiarity with no more than a slight hiccup in connection is a very special thing. In particular, I would love to grab a table at The Girl Who Cried Champagne and sample the mouth-watering food that is described there. Juliet was a bit of a dark horse. I felt sorry for her at first with her husband and her kids not really in her life anymore. Then she went to Paris and started to reveal her past and her secrets. It was a great way to tell a story as it felt real. We all have secrets that we haven’t told family, that we hold deep in our hearts, and this felt as if Juliet was sharing this with me. There are two ways up the Eiffel Tower. You can take an elevator or you can walk up the stairs. The queues for the elevators are very long and the queue for the stairs is much shorter. The choice is yours. If you take the stairs, you get to eat more chocolate and crepes later!

Wow, wow, WOW. Her best and most perfect book yet. I adored every word. Sublime, as always' JILL MANSELL Père Lachaise is free to visit but if you want to get more out of the experience, you can take a guided tour. This tour lasts 2 to 3 hours and you can see the final resting places of famous people such as Edith Piaf, Jim Morrison and Chopin. Getting Here: From Musée d’Orsay, cross the Seine River to the Tuileries Garden.
