About this deal

When the first player says their chosen three pieces of evidence out loud that they are looking for, all other players must then see if they have any of these cards in their hand. If they are wrong about any of the four cards, they are out and the game continues for all other players with that player out of the game. Solve crimes around a fictional small town, piecing together the evidence to discover where it happened, how it happened, and who did it. Later, I have the evidence they’ve just asked about, but I drew it last round so no one else has seen it; should I hold off revealing that I have it, or will the other players do the same, allowing the active player to draw a card for free and gain an edge anyway? Each player is given their investigation board (where they will tick off items of interest as they narrow down the evidence) and draws five cards.

Solve the crime by correctly naming the suspect, weapon, motive and location to bring the killer to justice.Using 44 beautifully illustrated cards, players take turns trading evidence to get closer to the truth. Features 44 beautifully unique illustrations of game elements, and includes dry-erase boards and markers to easily track your evidence.

Be the first detective to solve this crime by correctly naming the suspect, weapon, motive, and location of Casey’s murder and bring the killer to justice! All the while, under the time pressure of knowing everyone else is wanting to do the same before you do. I wasn’t expecting the next greatest thriller since the likes of Se7en and Silence of the Lambs, but my expectations were not six feet under, either. Can You Piece Together The Evidence To Figure Out Who Did It, How They Did It, And Most Importantly, Why? We all love game night, and we all have our favourite games but do love discovering new games to play.I think most will have a lot of good times with this and can see this being a real family favourite. I once played a game of chess with my partner - the first time either of us had played since childhood - which devolved to two kings chasing one another round the board. The result of this will cause them to reveal a certain card to all players helping them out, or if they are lucky and roll an X, they can do nothing. Some more expansive titles even require multiple ‘practice’ or ‘open-hand’ sessions to parse everything.

But I’ve got to say that Case File is the first time in living memory I’ve ever intentionally thrown a match just to stop playing. Features 44 beautifully unique illustrations of game elements, and includes dry-erase boards and markers to easily track your evidence! Mainly for we're all too busy working to survive reasons but also because I don't think any of us know if we're playing it correctly when we did play it. I did go through an odd, out-of-body moment amid the mind-numbing experience that was Case File, when I half-wondered if, peeking through, like a prisoner through cell bars, was some semblance of a meaningful decision. You and a group of detectives have been put on the case to find his killer and bring them to justice!

Although we did think that the card used could have been a bit thicker, it is a bit thin but doesn’t make any difference to the gameplay. This could be to eliminate these from their investigation, knowing they are not in the central confidential folder.
