We spend a weekend in a rocky mountain (Rila mountain in Bulgaria) and a day in the snow on Vitosha! Not sure how they'd be for serious hikers/walkers but they're fine for winter walks and work in all weathers all year. I have only had these boots a few days but done several walks and they are instantly comfortable, light to wear, very strong and sturdy and fit well.
