After opening four years ago, Black Barrel has established itself as one of the most popular venues on Castle Street. This powerhouse of gin production has taken up residence in the albert dock and of course that’s why they’re best placed to make the super strength Albert Dock gin. Liverpool Gin is a premium organic gin made using only pure certified organic botanicals, producing a highly distinctive, aromatic drink.Their gin, which is probably the easiest of all to find, is made from juniper, coriander, angelica roots and citrus fruits and is defined by a balanced, botanical flavour with a cereal note and a citrus finish.
The Albert Dock Gin is packed with juniper, coriander, galangal root and kaffir lime leaves making it a classic London Dry with a subtlezingy finish. As dry January draws to a close, we trust we’ve given you plenty of inspiration to start February nice and wet. It’s a beautiful juniper-forward Gin and Tonic and it brings a pleasant, but not-aggressive pine note to the Gin and Juice. In a play on words, this gin pays homage to the iconic Mersey Beat music scene by using Mersey beets (yes that’s right, beetroot) as its main botanical. Liverpool Dry Gin features a relatively classic botanical bill, including staples like angelica, coriander and citrus. Made from the finest ingredients from the quayside including juniper berries, coriander, angelica roots and citrus fruits which results in an excellently balanced yet complex gin.
