Do yourself a favor and pick this book up before the Siege of Terra starts, you won’t be disappointed.

This includes the climatic fight between Curze and The Lion that you see pictured on the cover, and it fulfills everything that fantastic piece of art promises. Hunting the Night Lords Primarch across Ultramar he is drawn back to the capital planet when news of Konrad’s attack on Sanguinius reaches him.I’d been reading Warhammer 40,000 tie-in fiction for a short while but this was my first exposure to the Dark Angels. Not long into the novel, Johnson pushes Sanguinius to allow him to deal with the Night Haunter once and for all; to put an end to his madness and murders, and bring him to justice. It provided him with ways to explore the Legion's nature, and the Lion's unrelenting hunt, which stood in stark contrast to Guilliman's diplomacy, which obviously led to the two brethren butting heads. But then, he is also using those aspects to achieve his goals in the hunt for Curze, which ended with a very cool showdown that feels like a natural conclusion to their rivalry that has been going on for far too long now.

It actually makes me want to go back and read Angels of Darkness again because I want to see how far we’ve come in the last fifteen years and how Astelan has changed in that time. When Belath (last seen in Tales of Heresy helping Astelan get kicked to the curb) and his Dark Angels appear, Cypher doesn’t warn them of what is going to happen and warn them to tell the Lion what is going on. With the Dissonance Engine complete, Wyrmwood ascended to a level not even The Rock could harm and used its power to bore a tunnel into the reality between the Materium and Warp much like the Webway.This, combined with his ancestry (the son of a witch and a daemon), results in his wild and dangerous nature. Titles in italics are by other authors but are directly related to the events and characters in my stories. He also has no qualms about manipulating others, including his brothers, and using half truths and lies to achieve what he want.
