I think evidence of this is the fact that the fragrance that reminds people the most of this one is, in fact, the original 2004 Armani Code EdT. The opening was A LOT fresher than I had anticipated, and that actually hangs around for a decent amount of time. It's sweet but also dark BUT ALSO FRESH (and i LOVEEEEE fresh fragrances and when dark fragrances can also be fresh it's a win).

Obviously, the sweetness is perfect for colder weather, but I think it's fresh enough to wear in slightly warmer weather too. I am willing to accept that I possibly got a bad bottle however it the batch code indicates its authentic.A very uninpiring and bland release, aiming to combine the freshness of bergamot, with the richness of Iris and topping it off with some Tonka sweetness. I immediately loved Layton, so I wanted to love this so I could get this instead and save some money.

This Armani perfume has everything: A very nice scent, an astonishing ability to give compliments, a nice bottle, a suitable sillage, and. I’m a fan of the Code line so maybe I’m being biased, but this is signature scent worthy in my opinion. This one is in beast territory it last 10+ hours and projects for 5+ hours I can put it on in the morning and at lunch I’m getting compliments. I didn’t “fall in love” with the first spray, nor have I ever been blown away by the genius of this scent - but we don’t always have to be blown away to like a scent. If you want something that will work from 7am in the office to 7pm in the after hours catching a drink or two with work colleagues, this will do it nicely.
