About this deal

Full Metal Case & IP66 Waterproof】 Constructed with a full metal case and IP66 waterproof rating, the wireless Wi-Fi camera is built to provide reliable protection against dust, rain, snow, and extreme temperatures and withstand rough weather conditions and dissipate heat, ensuring the camera's performance and longevity. RE. GN Auto-Topcor 1:1.8 f= 50mm 62mm filter, introduced 1973 with lens aperture interconnected to distance set on the lens' focusing ring.

In reality, the Topcon isn’t compatible with 100% of Exakta lenses. Those with an automatic diaphragm will not support that feature as the Exakta’s shutter release is on the photographer’s left side whereas the Topcon is on the right and the buttons won’t line up. You can still physically mount these lenses and either just not use the automatic feature, or try to trigger them with two separate fingers. A11: If you want to save videos to FTP, you need to insert a micro SD card into your camera. Then the camera will save the alarm recordings to your FTP. The RE Super and the company that built it wasn’t always a forgotten relic. At one point in time it seemed the brand was destined for greatness. Tokyo Kogaku, the brand from which the Topcon name was born in much the way Nikon sprouted from Nippon Kogaku, reigned as one of the top Japanese camera and lens manufacturers. They were famous for their razor sharp Topcor lenses made in Leica Thread Mount, and for their early efforts in the Japanese SLR arena (they in fact created an SLR camera before Nikon or Canon had done so). Things went from “pretty good” to “pretty freaking fantastic” for Tokyo Kogaku when they entered a contest to see who could manufacture the official combat camera of the United States Military – and won. Some common features of 35mm SLR photography were first seen on the Topcon RE Super. Among these is the through-the-lens exposure metering. This enabled improved exposure accuracy, especially in close-up macro photography using bellows or extension rings, and in telephotography with long lenses. In addition to this feature, the metering is at full aperture. For this purpose the RE-lenses have an aperture simulator that relays the preset aperture to the exposure meter at full aperture, retaining a bright viewfinder image while determining the correct exposure, avoiding the stop-down method. The meter also works independently of the pentaprism finder, which allows for different viewfinder configurations. The meter cell is actually incorporated in the camera's reflex finder mirror. This was accomplished by milling narrow slits in the mirror surface letting a fraction of the light through to the CdS cell placed just behind it. May 2007—Business rights for mobile control (navigation systems, ITS and others) transferred to U.S. subsidiary from Javad Navigation Systems, Inc. [9]

Tokyo Kogaku would attempt to modernize the RE Super in 1977 with two newer models called the RE 200 and RE 300, but it was too little too late. Quality control became an issue, and their reputation as a slow to innovate company basically killed any attempt at a resurgence. Tokyo Kogaku would stop sales of new cameras in December 1980, but would continue to produce a few models rebadged under different names. In use, semi-automatic lenses work the same way as fully automatic ones, as long as you remember to keep pushing down on that lever before each and every exposure. If you aren’t bothered by a darker viewfinder, or just really like previewing depth of field, you can skip this step and use the camera normally. July 2005—Transferred from part of the Hoya Corporation Vision Care Company's ophthalmic instruments segment in Japan.

May 1963—Released the first single-lens reflex camera with through the lens metering (TTL) - TOPCON RE Super [5] The Topcon 35B was released in mid-1955. [15] The advertisement dated August 1955 cited above [16] gives no price and the one dated November 1955 [17] lists the camera for ¥18,000. The Topcon 35B was still offered in August 1956 [18] for the same price. A13: Please enter your app “wifi setting” to connect the camera to your new wifi or phone hotspot first. Otherwise, you need to reset the camera then follow A4 to reconnect the camera.

Please try to format your micro SD card, and then reconnect again. Micro SD card in the camera is more easily damaged than in the other device because the SD card is reading and writing the videos all the time in the camera. In about 1965, the US Navy tested cameras from several Japanese and German manufacturers (including the Nikon F). The Topcon Super D was the winner of this competition, and was used exclusively by the Navy until 1977. [ citation needed] In Australia [ edit ] June 2009—Acquired shares of Italian wireless communications manufacturer DESTURA s.r.l. to strengthen operations in mobile communications, machine controls, and agricultural IT market segments. [10] January 1975—Established Topcon Sokki Co., Ltd. (currently Topcon Sales corporation), a surveying instrument sales company. Okay, okay, I did it. I compared the Topcon RE Super to the Nikon F which is arguably one of the most successful and historically significant cameras ever made. As it turns out, the mirror on the Topcon is very large and comes all the way almost to the very edge of the lens mount. When the Schneider Xenon lens is set to infinity, the inner glass element protrudes slightly into the mirror box. It goes in just enough to interfere with the path of the mirror. The shutter was jamming because the mirror was hitting the lens. Take a look at the image to the right. The lens on the left is an Exakta mount Zeiss Tessar, and the one on the right is the Schneider Xenon. Both are set to infinity. It’s subtle, but notice how the inner lens element extends slightly beyond the mount.

September 1994—Established Topcon Laser Systems, Inc. (currently Topcon Positioning Systems, Inc.) in California, U.S.A., acquired Advanced Grade Technology, advanced into machine control business. This thing is a monster! If it’s not clear in the image above of a Topcon next to a Spotmatic, here’s another image!
