The main character, Alice, falls through a rabbit hole, to uncover a world of fantasy, where she meets all sorts of characters such as the White Rabbit, The Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, is a children's novel, written way back in 1865 by the English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, more commonly known as his pseudonym Lewis Carroll. I therefore decided to make it a one-sided card – and I thought it would be easier for him to sit down in! During the day children have read the story and taken part in different activities to immerse themselves in the book, including a piece of writing as a response to their day.

This young girl delved into the future when she dressed as the whimsical Professor Trelawney from Harry Potter, looking especially mystical with her dramatic round spectacles. These adverts enable local businesses to get in front of their target audience – the local community.

For World Book Day, Oliver decided to go as the Guinness World Records book in a costume created by his mother, Sarah Goodson. Of course I am belatedly sharing with you my boys’ costumes from World Book Day – but they could equally be used for other occasions like festivals, other school dressing up days or just because!
