About this deal

in this original 3D puzzle, stack up to 12 differently shaped books - and one clever cat - so that the upper shelf lies perfectly even across the top.

Enter By the Book, a simple little puzzle game that will have you stacking books on a shelf trying to make things even. We ended up just taking turns trying to do a puzzle as most you can solve in a few minutes, so it wasn’t a big deal to take turns. I’m not going to give By the Book a star rating, because it’s hard to rate an activity, but overall we found it enjoyable. There were a handful here and there that gave me something to think about, but for the most part, I was able to figure things out. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. Follow the incredible story of The Princess Bride through six chapters and work together to keep the plot on course despite Shrieking Eels, kissing, and constant interruptions! Put together a perfectly balanced bookshelf for our furry friend using a good dose of reasoning and sharp visual perception. As an avid reader, I was pretty excited to find out about a puzzly, book-themed board game released from Foxmind Games.

There are a few rules to remember as you solve, such as the placement of the cat figure, and be sure to pay attention to the icons that indicate the number of books and/or specific books. While there are certainly some great literature-themed games out there ( Hardback and Ex Libris) that come to mind, most are too difficult for me to play with my young ones.Leave the Shire’s green pastures to travel to fair Rivendell, survive the Mines of Moria, march on Isengard and finally reach Mordor.

In this original 3D puzzle, stack up to 12 differently shaped books – and one clever cat – so that the upper shelf lies evenly across the top.
