About this deal

Imagine what the kids would think if Albus Dumbledore, Severus Snape and Gilderoy Lockhart engaged in a "pub invasion" and still being at it at 4 AM. He] put the fish in his bathtub and spent all night with some carrots, shaping the carrots into the shape of fish. Robert Sellers' outrageously entertaining history proves that today's celebrities don't have much on Richard Burton, Peter O'Toole, Richard Harris and Oliver Reed.

He quotes the actor, who still keeps Shakespeare’s sonnets -- which he has committed to memory -- by his bedside, as musing: “The common denominator of all my friends is that they’re dead. Stories that make you regard the four men mentioned within , more as naughty schoolboys having a giggle than a menace to society .

Hellraisers is the story of drunken binges of near biblical proportions, parties and orgies, broken marriages, riots, and wanton sexual conquests.

Even if a quarter of the stuff covered in ‘Hellraisers’ is true, these guys sure weren’t candidates for sainthood. The reason I gave it four stars is that in my opinion the book concentrated too much on their drunken antics and not enough on their career's and other area's of their lives. Their names are included up there with the acting g It's slightly different for each man - with Richard Harris and Oliver Reed there is a fight of some kind, with Richard Burton there is also Elizabeth Taylor (who drank as much or more than he did), and with Peter O'Toole there is always a bon mot.
