The base is rubberized, so your chosen surface shouldn’t slip around—I’ve tried, and at least with the cloth, it’s pretty much impossible under normal conditions. Moreover, the mouse mat consists of 2 different mats: one with a soft bottom and one with a hard surface. Out of curiosity, we tried attaching other gadgets that make use of wireless charging, such as the Samsung Galaxy S8, but to no effect.

Hard surfaces have less friction, which can be better for rapid movements and put less strain on your wrist, but…well, I just prefer cloth. With POWERPLAY and LIGHTSPEED technology integrated, Logitech G has solved the barriers to high performance wireless gaming. MCU: Microcontroller unit translates data from the processor, via enhanced firmware, faster than ever before. Conceptually, I love it already, and the only trace of skepticism I have is about whether it works quite as well as Logitech promises.
