I found it necessary to study the corresponding text in printed form for some time before listening to the audio. But this is counting all of the English words that are in the introduction and conclusion, where Olly includes some extra information about the stories.

At the beginning of the book there's a strong emphasis on how reading and finishing each story is more important than understanding every word and to not stop to look up words, I found this really helpful and encouraging because I definitely am the kind of person who would have made the mistake of looking up what I didn't understand and getting frustrated and I'm really pleased that this method of powering through helps and that I understood a lot more than I expected to.
