If you want to use your own bracket or monitor arm, the monitor comes with a 100mm VESA mount, but you’ll have to source your own bolts. I’d have liked the headset jacks to be on the side though, as they’re tricky to reach; hardly a deal-breaker though. The panel also sports a 1500R curvature, which means that it provides a wider field of view than most 27-inch LCDs available today. It’s miles away from the HDR experience you’ll get with HDR10, which you’ll see on newer TVs with “real” HDR.Our casual gaming skills were not enough to perceive a difference in response between the FHD resolution of the CV27F and the QHD screen of the CV27Q. Here, ANC uses a special chip along with a dual mic setup to remove ambient noises from the background of the microphone feed.

Accessories Often the packaging of desktop monitors and smart TV sets includes accessories for them. CV27Q supports AMD Radeon FreeSync 2 technology which puts an end to choppy gameplay and broken frames, and create a fluid and artifact-free performance at any framerate, which also supports HDR technology. Aorus' 165Hz product stack currently presents users with one of two choices; a curved VA panel in the form of the CV27Q; or a flat IPS in the form of the FI27Q. I did not hear about this issue in any of the reviews and did not know about it until I found it just comparing my CV27Q and the G7 side by side, randomly looking at some photos. Here, we can monitor the whole system, including CPU and GPU temperatures, and FPS counts without the need of any additional software. I did try out the HDR feature of this monitor, but I with no doubt find the image better when it’s turned off.

sircolby45 - Tuesday, September 17, 2019 - link I personally just don't get why you would want curved on a 27" monitor. The Gigabyte Aorus CV27Q is a VA display with a relatively strong curve and a radius of 1,500 millimeters thus seeking to create “immersion” while you game. Gbit/s, its allow gamer can enjoy enjoy 2K, 165Hz, HDR, 8bits color at same time, no need to sacrifice any item of panel spec. The monitor has a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and supports FreeSync 2 HDR technology with up to 165Hz for synchronizing the frame rates perfectly with Radeon graphics cards. This again is fixable with a power-off / power-on cycle but at this point I have to turn off and on the monitor 4-5 times a day to workround these issues. Moving on to gaming-specific features of the Aorus CV27Q, one of the capabilities that GIGABYTE is especially proud of is its 2 nd Generation active noise canceling (ANC) technology.

While viewing angles aren’t quite on par with IPS displays, VA monitors still look better when seen off-axis than TN screens.

The all-black colour scheme is tidy, display bezels on the top and sides are suitably thin, and the two-legged stand is solidly built, resulting in hardly any wobble. I tried tilting, different angles, positions, it was impossible to see all the details in the frame. This isn't bright enough to serve as a useful ambient light, but we suppose it could be deemed trendy if you're facing onlookers at a gaming event.
