As it began to settle in, it was clear that King does lean masculine (but could probably still be pulled off by a woman) while Erba Pura leans feminine to my nose.Upon side-by-side testing, as expected, King is unquestionably heavily inspired by Erba Pura and I was initially a little disappointed. Top notes are Orange, Lemon and Bergamot; middle note is Fruity Notes; base notes are Vanilla, White Musk and Amber. When it does become a skin-scent, the powdery pear and vanilla calm down a little and the musk shows up lightly again. Something about spraying more than once in the same spot accentuates the power of the Oud note in it, taking it from subtle to overpowering. The drydown of this fragrance never changes from the mid and the vanilla and pear take a full on stance until the fragrance becomes a skin-scent 12+ hours later.
