The botanicals used include juniper, coriander, angelica, and cardamom, which are all expertly balanced to create a delicious and complex gin. It does, though, have an unusual grassy aroma, and doesn't have the the herby botanical flavour that I would expect. It has quite a perfumed smell when you open the bottle, which nearly put me off, but the scent is subtle once mixed with fresh lime and a good quality tonic. Works beautifully as a long drink with Mediterranean tonic and plenty of ice - perfect for a warm summer evening.
