About this deal

If you don't plan on using the amiibo for any gameplay purposes, it's still a really cool display item. Guardian is a 2 star Support Spirit that grants any fighter it is attached to a passive Weapon Resist Increase stat, decreasing the damage the equipped fighter takes from enemies wielding weapons such as swords or whips. The Nintendo The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild Guardian amiibo was released March 3, 2017 and features an NFC touchpoint on the back.

In the Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild game, the Guardian amiibo unlocks items such as getting rare guardian weapons and items. The limbs do not stretch but they can be positioned in any direction and you can bend them to make them pretty expressive. Rover · Blathers · Tom Nook · Pelly · Phyllis · Pete · Mabel · Leif · Wendell · Cyrus · Grams · Timmy · Digby · Don Resetti · Isabelle · Franklin · Jingle · Lily · Anchovy · Tabby · Kody · Miranda · Del · Paula · Ken · Mitzi · Rodeo · Bubbles · Cousteau · Velma · Elvis · Canberra · Colton · Marina · Spork · Freckles · Bam · Friga · Ricky · Deidre · Hans · Chevre · Drago · Tangy · Mac · Eloise · Wart Jr.Our Nintendo switch is our first console for us where we can use amiibos so I do not have any prior experience with them. When the Guardian came out in 2017 alongside BotW, the main purpose was to bolster you with Ancient materials and Gems, and to unlock Guardian Weapons up to ++, Guardian Shields up to ++, Ancient Cores, Ancient Arrows and Rusty Weapons. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. If you compare the costs and the amount of content they provide, the amiibo will never come close to being comparable in value to the game.

Having been an avid collector since I first heard about these NFC wonders, I have managed to amass every single one of them. The first thing I did with my Guaridan amiibo was take pictures of it grabbing other amiibo too, haha!If I had to really pick at its overall form, and consider how it could be done any better, then I think I would have perhaps gone for a pearlescent paint approach for its eye and the glowing areas on its body. Fast forward to 2020 and amiibo rarely gets any mention as the once continuous wave of new models has all but dried up, and so too has demand. Overall this amiibo is my favourite in terms of creativity and high-quality faithfulness to the reference character. I love to see Nintendo taking chances and doing new and interesting things with Amiibo and they have definitely succeeded with this one.

According to the Japanese Nintendo’s homepage they started selling it this year around March in Japan. In game (BoTW), the guardian grants the player metal boxes that can be manipulated at one point in the game. Game and Watch which is one of the only other Amiibo where it is easy to change the pose whenever you’d like. As this creature slinks over the fields of lavish grass towards you, it becomes apparent that this is bio-mechanical, and it is as dangerous as it comes! Limbs – The most interesting feature on the Guardian are the bendable limbs that you can pose however you want.Truth be told, my favourite one for BotW was none other than the Majora's Mask Link amiibo, due to the fact that it randomly dropped Fierce Deity Apparel which was totally incredible to obtain. By the way the article will be in Japanese and is all about Japanese products that have a lot of attention in overseas. Paint and Details – The paint application is interesting on this Amiibo because it does not appear to use many decals and the paint seems to be sprayed on in many places. My kids have had a blast playing with it outside the game, it gives you great rewards in Breath of the Wild, and I love it as a collectible. NFC functionality is always a bone of contention with these things, and it's invariably quite rare that an amiibo has such a range of games available to have it used within.
