About this deal

Vinile/CD/DVD: usato ma ben tenuto, può presentare qualche leggero graffio in alcune zone del disco; quasi perfetto. Fans can sit around and quibble all day about whether this track or that belongs on there (I personally would like to see the obscure "Island Of Domination" from "Sad Wings" get its due),but every important album is well-represented. The show captures the band as they were reaching a commercial and artistic peak, headlining arenas for the first time, and their excitement and energy is palpable. Photography By – Art Maillet, Ebet Roberts, Fin Costello, George Bodnar, George Chin, London Features, Mark Weiss (3), Mick Hutson, Neil Zlozower, Paul Cox (5), Randee St. La selezione dei brani copre tutta la discografia della band( tranne gli ultimi 3 studio album) perciò è ottima X chi vuole conoscere la band .

Back to the new album, it’s “Devil’s Child”, which Rob imbues with a strange monotone during the verses. Metalogy", on the other hand, mostly compiles songs from the Columbia catalog, but does acknowledge the heads and tails of the band's career until now, with a handful of numbers from the pre- Sony albums, "Rocka Rolla" and "Sad Wings Of Destiny", and four representatives of the frankly dreadful "Ripper" Owens era. Not bad for a little bonus DVD (video quality issues aside), and worth picking up separately if you feel so inclined. Here’s something you don’t hear at Judas Priest concerts anymore: Rob screaming at the crowd, “Are you high?

In the case of SABBATH's release, it contains their first eight classic albums, all remastered and repackaged, making up for the shitty way in which Warner Bros. Perhaps Priest could have included some Ripper-era rarities to add some value and excitement — there were a few songs available. But the big selling point for diehard fans is supposed to be a batch of live cuts and one unreleased demo of a song that was better left unheard anyway.

Green Manalishi” remains to this day an example of a song improved as a cover version, with all due respect to Peter Green. I love seeing bands live, and there are some great concert albums out there, but live cuts tacked onto ends of CDs like this do nothing for me. A pre-recorded “Hellion” acts as intro music; Priest emerge onstage amidst lasers and smoke to play “Electric Eye”.

Power, clarity, and depth, plus a nice package and an excellent, comprehensive book full of rare photos and candid history. In 2002 when the last original Priest music had been recorded, Rob Halford had yet to rejoin the band and Ripper Owens was still the current singer. As a thorough introduction, for the uninitiated, to the majesty and greatness of the PRIEST, "Metalogy" certainly can't be faulted.
