About this deal

It deserves to become a much-loved classic, with a wonderful warmth and tenderness mingled with humour that sets it above some of Roald Dahl’s ‘spikier’ tales. I loved all the little children and by the end of the book I started to fall in love with them and wished them all the best in their lives (just like how you feel after reading a series of unfortunate events) . This is not intended to be a full statement of all your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations. Yet, it was the camaraderie of the children, the help from unexpected places and the message of kindness and bravery that left me with a lump in my throat and a smile on my lips beyond the final page.

For Arthur Dent, who has only just had his house demolished that morning, this seems already to be more than he can cope with. The Midnight Gang' tells an extraordinarily heartwarming and, of course, funny story of five children on a hospital ward and on a quest for adventure! However, the children all change the matron’s heart in the end and she allows the porter to stay and the children are all happy.David began his publishing career at HarperCollins in early 2008 with his debut novel, The Boy in the Dress, followed by Mr Stink in 2009, Billionaire Boy in 2010 and Gangsta Granny in 2011. This creates an atmosphere of tension and suspense which makes the reader imagine the experience that Tom has at that moment. In David Walliams new novel, Midnight Gang, join Tom, George, Sally and Amber in their epic adventure to the new world, in the children’s ward of Lord Funt Hospital hospital! This is a Fine Copy of this Book in Publisher's original cloth in a Fine Dust-Jacket with no chips or tears to the outer edges of the dust-wrapper. I like this scene because it takes your mind off the midnight gang for a moment and all the characters on stage are laughing and happy.

What I liked about the book is it is a funny story about kids getting up to no good in a hospital during the night (especially the granny and balloon part it made me laugh). Tom wonders why he never hears from his parents, and now being a patient at the Lord Funt Hospital, why haven't they inquired about his accident and injury? The language is full of humour, using often jokes and some personification, such as, “he pushed the doors open and was swallowed up by the night”. It made a boring hospital into a place of fun and adventure and where children could play and have their dreams come true, while the Matron and the School Principle are the villains trying to stop the children’s’ fun. Charlie Leech is the producer, whose past credits include David Walliams' Grandpa's Great Escape, The Wrong Mans for the BBC, Lovesick, Loaded, AMC and Bounty Hunters.

The Midnight Gang is about a young boy, Tom, who is sent from boarding school to a hospital, because he hits his head with a cricket ball. i really enjoyed this book because it is funny and full of adventures,my favourite character is tom the boy with bad head. He soon realises he’s there because he has been hit on the head with a cricket ball at St Willet’s Boarding School for Boys and, after being assessed by a doctor not much older than himself, he is moved to the Children’s Ward.A rude, witty and irreverent illustrated story in which an orphaned girl tries to escape from her murderous auntie and solve the mystery of her parents’ death.

The sale of customised goods or perishable goods, sealed audio or video recordings, or software, which has been opened. His sixth book Demon Dentist was published in September 2013 and went straight to number one in the bestseller charts. Since beginning his publishing career in 2008, David Walliams has taken the children’s literary world by storm. Whether you’re seven or seventy-seven, there’s much to love about this touching and big-hearted tale of friendship, adventure and bravery.

As Emily pointed out, a book aimed at 9-11 year olds, is best reviewed by someone who falls into that age bracket…and as luck would have it, she’s ten. Together they created Little Britain, which has won numerous international awards including three BAFTAs and is now shown in over 100 countries. There are now over 25 children’s books by David Walliams, including full-length fiction, short stories and picture books and all his books are illustrated. David and Tony also collaborated on the 2017 World Book Day title, BLOB, and on the blockbuster collections, The World s Worst Children 1, 2 and 3.
