I like this scene because it takes your mind off the midnight gang for a moment and all the characters on stage are laughing and happy.

What I liked about the book is it is a funny story about kids getting up to no good in a hospital during the night (especially the granny and balloon part it made me laugh). It made a boring hospital into a place of fun and adventure and where children could play and have their dreams come true, while the Matron and the School Principle are the villains trying to stop the children’s’ fun. The Midnight Gang is about a young boy, Tom, who is sent from boarding school to a hospital, because he hits his head with a cricket ball. i really enjoyed this book because it is funny and full of adventures,my favourite character is tom the boy with bad head. He soon realises he’s there because he has been hit on the head with a cricket ball at St Willet’s Boarding School for Boys and, after being assessed by a doctor not much older than himself, he is moved to the Children’s Ward.A rude, witty and irreverent illustrated story in which an orphaned girl tries to escape from her murderous auntie and solve the mystery of her parents’ death.
