The NEW Bonavita One Touch 8 Cup is a fantastic manual fill quick filter machine that provides eight cups of fresh hot black coffee. I’m not a huge fan of glass carafes and hot plates, as I think that combo degrades the flavor of the coffee over time. After looking into it more, it seems that both the Bonavita and Brewista coffee maker brands are owned by (and always have been owned by) the same China based manufacturing company, Smartco. The company declined to go into details about the move to end the trademark agreement, but likened it to a messy divorce. In addition to its small footprint, the machine’s modest height should allow it to slide neatly underneath your cabinets.
Bonavita One-Touch coffee brewers makes it simple to make a complex and full-bodied cup of coffee at the touch of a button. Over the years, the Moccamaster has maintained its signature aesthetic and feel, giving it a now-passé and almost brutalist appeal.For smaller amounts of coffee, the OXO 9-Cup also adjusts the pre-infusion and overall brewing time (you have to select between brewing a two- to four-cup pot or a five- to nine-cup pot). Technivorm brewers (a few variants are available) have legions of devoted fans because of their reputation for simplicity, longevity, and making a great cup of coffee. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item.

In addition to speed, the SCA also tested the brewing temperature on this machine before awarding it the coveted title of Certified Home Brewer. I really enjoyed the flavor profile I was getting, and other friends who tried brewing this way seemed to get great results as well. While the stainless steel carafe is nicely portable and keeps the coffee hot, it is difficult to pour out of without putting the lid on.
I didn’t include this particular machine in my Best Coffee Maker Guide 2024, and you’re probably wondering what gives. Glad I purchased it and recommend it to anyone who is particular about their coffee and are not put off by the above 2 mentioned issues. The stainless steel of the Bonavita 8-Cup Coffee Brewer fits the look of many kitchens and gives it a modern feel. It is perfect for everyday use in our two person household, but can also accommodate the brunch gatherings that we love to host on the weekends. If you are brewing for a crowd (and also want to brew single cups): The coffee produced by the OXO Brew 12-Cup Coffee Maker with Podless Single-Serve Function performed better in taste tests than coffee from the OXO Brew 9-Cup or 8-Cup Coffee Makers.As a result, Bonavita paved the way for a certain type of higher-level consumer device that grew because of an avalanche of earned media.
