We have listened to in the car a few times now and because it is music that little man is familiar with it has been a great distraction and kept him entertained as he sings, jigs, bops, claps his hands and swings his arms to the songs from the comfort of his car seat in the back. Disclosure: I was provided with a copy of the CBeebies CD free of charge for the purpose of this review. Little man instantly recognised familiar songs from his favourite shows such as Baby Jake, Mr Bloom’s Nursery, In the Night Garden, Raa Raa the Noisy Lion and Waybuloo. I have noticed that he seems to be aware of the different styles of music as he dances differently to the songs and he repeats the same style of dancing for particular songs; for example for The Yacki Song he dances like Baby Jake does on the show whilst when listening to songs from Rastamouse he always bops along to the music and does a laid back dance rather than a mad, wild dance.

As little man loves music I was pleased when we were given the chance to review a brand new album filled with songs from the popular TV channel CBeebies. I have never realised just how many CBeebies songs and tunes I know until we listened to a newly released CD " CBeebies The Album" (and if you are a fan of CBeebies, today, 5th of November 2012, is the day when you can get your own album). Just follow the Rafflecopter instructions and maybe, just maybe this bundle of Cbeebies goodness will be on its way to you, just in time for Christmas…. Having not listened to the album before we then proceeded to make a game of guess the next song, which was actually more difficult than it sounds, but perfect entertainment for a long drive.

Be good if they had an updated one or at least advertised the year the shows are from to make it easier. Alongside books, puzzles, films and cooking, it is a form of an escapism, which I define as a positive thing, as it allows me to recharge the batteries. There are a couple of theme tunes of shows that are no longer on Cbeebies, but the majority you will know if you are exposed to this wonderful tv channel for kids.When I first put this album on little man did not take much notice of the first song from the first CD but when the second song started he instantaneously got very excited when he recognised The Yacki Song from Baby Jake. If you're expecting a classic rock album look elsewhere, if you're looking for something to keep the little ones entertained on journeys and can cope with having to listen to lots of little ditties then this is just the thing. I also like to sing along to "Meet the Veggies", though Eddie tries to stop me, saying "Don't want it", when I ask him what he didn't want, he replies "Mama singing". If you're like me then it will be one that you don't quite know all the words to, but yet you still can't get it out of your head for the rest of the day.Another benefit from the album in my opinion is the fact that as the songs can be repeated and listened to again and again he will hear the lyrics often which will help him learn to sing along to the songs which in turn is beneficial to his speech development and learning of new words. I also like that the album is a blend of old, familiar shows and new hit shows; with older favourites such as Postman Pat, Tweenies and Balamory featuring on the album alongside songs and theme tunes from newer shows such as Baby Jake and Rastamouse. CBeebies: The Album includes theme tunes and songs from some new favourites like Rastamouse, Baby Jake and Justin’s House, old classics like Postman Pat and Charlie and Lola as well as theCBeebiespresenter songs for the very first time on CD! As soon as LMC heard this CD for the first time she was dancing around the room to the Justin's House theme tune.

It is lovely to see him have so much fun dancing and I think it is great that because it is an album I do not have to have the TV on for little man to dance to songs from his favourite shows and it is great that his favourite songs can be played again and again. As well as being great for little man to dance to I think the fact that the album is a compilation of different styles of music it introduces him to different music. She was a tad confused as to why she couldn't immediately watch all the shows she liked when she heard the music, but to some extent that's understandable as she'd only previously related the songs to the programme being on television right then. I'm a childminder and its even a hit with the children I look after to put on in the play room when they are playing, or to play musical instruments along to it.The lingo show, the lingo show, you’ll learn new words you’ll want to know, we’re on our way to you so let’s go, with the lingo show, The Lingo Show! As he already enjoys dancing and singing along to songs on CBeebies I was looking forward to getting the new CBeebies album to see if he would enjoy listening to an album filled with songs from the popular children’s TV channel.
