About this deal

There is a slight new smell but with each use it decreases and, if you keep your door open, that allows for ventilation.

I sometimes borrow it and use it in my home office rather than heating the whole house, and it is pretty effective. knowing I'd be watching tv etc in the living room for entire evenings, and not wishing to have the central heating warming the entire house all evening long i decided to try an oil filled radiator.Thoroughly recommend this machine - it's silent in operation and pretty compact BUT (there's always a 'but') why is there no indication that this machine is painted in what is best described as 'Battleship' grey and not white? It features the 'Venturi effect' in which an internal chimney-like structure increases convective air flow. My only small criticisms of the radiator is it is slightly higher than I would have like, coming a little above the shelf on the dwarf walls of the conservatory. With 2 kW of heat output, the Vento is perfect for smaller rooms or for boosting existing heat sources around the home. Air is drawn in at the bottom, heated by the main radiant heat of the radiator and then expelled at the top.

The trick is to use them only when needed and to keep them set as low as possible to keep comfortable. I use them with Wemo plug sockets to allow me set timers and switch them on or off remotely, very useful for heating up my outbuilding on a frosty morning. Will now work out the cost of this but am confident that it will be a lot cheaper to run than oil boiler going all night for just 1 radiator! The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. The safe design also fills you with confidence about using these heaters anywhere, and leaving them on near to clothes or kids and so on. It has three variable heat settings and an adjustable room thermostat to set and maintain the desired temperature, as well as an anti-frost function and an overheat safety protection feature. Also, I'd recommend using it with a timer switch, that way you could use an awkward wall plug up without having to fumble behind your furniture to switch it on or off.

The temperature can be modified to various settings so it is great for leaving on if you need a little extra heat at night. Utlising the latest design and technology, as well as renowned De'Longhi reliability, the Vento V550920 Oil-Filled Radiator provides peace of mind and long lasting comfort. Other than that this is a good reliable product and the heat it gives off is a long lasting comfortable heat far superior to fan heaters. The Vento V550920 Oil-Filled Radiator by De'Longhi is an essential item to have when the temperature drops, providing comfort and warmth to any room. Its variable thermostat has frost protection and a choice of three heat settings, with a safety cut out switch to prevent it from overheating. We have a Delonghi oil-filled electric radiator in the conservatory, and it does smell a bit when it is heating up - like a kind of rubbery smell, but not burning rubber.

We've used it a fair bit (our conservatory is also our dining room) for over a year, with no ill effects, and it still works great. The innovative and exclusive design of the Vento VV551225 from De'Longhi provides both high performance and exceptional value for money. The controls are simple - 3 heat settings, and a thermostat - this has worked reliably and keeps the room its in a nice balanced tempature.
