The performance of the voices actors are so dramatic and forced, combine with the terrible writing style and the ridiculous plot, I just kept rolling my eyes. The sense of danger that permeates their relationship is heightened by the forbidden passion charged into Adeline's intimate moments with her stalker. Carlton's "Haunting Adeline" transports readers to a world of dark romance, heightened suspense, and an examination of the eerie connections between Adeline and her enigmatic stalker.

I disagree with the sheer number of poor reviews on this book strictly due to the fact that the readers were unprepared for the disturbing and dark content. Anyways, the story proceeds with Addie staying at this creepy fucking house for no fucking reason where countless people have died, introduces a whole ass fuckinf ghost, and then promptly forgets that part of the plot. ANYWAY, this is an excellent dark romance with a stalker and his prey, kinky play, and the undiluted adrenaline rush that comes from being both terrified by a man and also being turned on by him simultaneously. So don’t read the books unless you can handle being reminded how messed up the people in this world actually are. He is a rich, tech savvy vigilante of sorts who spends his time rescuing those who have fallen prey to criminal elements that are involved human trafficking.

Every time I see Zade the r4pist getting praised on socials it feels like an actual violation and I get more and more angry.

Other than the fact that this whole sentence was unnecessary, if concrete flew into your eyes, you know damn well you'd fall to the ground like a bug.

The generational contributions to the story line have a fantastic effect and the format of the book, letters in between dual POV chapters keeps the story constantly interesting, constantly moving. The worst thing about this book, for me, is how overly corny it is in its attempt to justify itself.
