I'm usually not the one to applaud authors for pretty much dumping all the #tragedy and all the #pain and #suffering onto one (1) single character (especially if the character in question is queer and the story taps into the 'gay suffering' aspect, Newt already falls victim to the 'bury your gays' trope, so there's that), but hey, otherwise Newt wouldn't be the best and most fleshed-out character in this series, so... kudos (nevertheless, it's not unproblematic).

Alec flies the Berg to the outskirts of Asheville, where the Cranks are in the street and houses. They land nearby and sneak behind some houses. yes I too like that Dashner makes us keep second guessing about Teresa but at the end of the day if she got the flare and died... I wouldn't be sad about it.. AT ALL!
