About this deal

Sanderson, Brandon (July 31, 2009). "Another Long and Rambling Post on Future Books". Archived from the original on October 16, 2010 . Retrieved October 12, 2010. As she fights, Leilwin comes to tell Egwene that Logain has the Seals. Taim's balefire kills half a dozen Aes Sedai, undoing several hours of their lives and restoring many Sharans. Egwene considers responding with balefire of her own, but realises it could make things worse. Leilwin tells her they must leave as they are being overrun. Taim was recruited by the Forsaken, so his becoming a Darkfriend happened after the Forsaken were freed from the Bore. Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians · The Scrivener's Bones · The Knights of Crystallia · The Shattered Lens · The Dark Talent · Bastille Versus the Evil Librarians Pevara wonders about some of the battle tactics and Androl is able to telepathically explain some of what is going on. An old man interrupts them and says he will take them to the Wyld. She thinks on how she had intended to take multiple Asha'man warders, but can't continue her train of thought as it is interrupted by Androl's jealousy. Androl is surprised when she tells him Emarin prefers men.

Rand al’Thor, the Dragon Reborn, is ready to fulfill his destiny. To defeat the enemy that threatens them all, he must convince his reluctant allies that his plan—as foolhardy and dangerous as it appears—is their only chance to stop the Dark One’s ascension and secure a lasting peace. But if Rand’s course of action fails, the world will be engulfed in shadow. A month or so later, Brandon was surprised to receive a call from Harriet, Robert Jordan’s wife and editor. He did not know who brought him to her attention (he later learned that it was Rigney family friend Elise Mattheson), but Harriet was curious to know if he’d be interested in writing the final book of the Wheel of Time series. Brandon Sanderson's contribution to the last few books in the series is seamless. He remains true to the characters and the plot, with just a little Sanderson genius for good measure. He walks into the palace in Caemlyn and passes windows, gateways to other places, showing a rebuilt Malkier, Tear and Rhuidean, surrounded by chora fields. He sees a stone slab, in what was the Blasted Lands where his body had been buried after the Last Battle.Rand can see people fight and die for him, Hurin, Davram Bashere and his wife, Karldin Manfor and Beldeine, Gareth Bryne and Siuan Sanche amongst them. He refuses to give in and the Dark One prepares his final vision of the future. Everything gets dark. A Memory of Light contains 49 chapters, a prologue, and an epilogue, and consists of 49 unique POVs and 258 individual POVs. It has a total word count of 364,957 words. She tells the Seanchan with her that other than the Deathwatch Guards, they are returning to Ebou Dar. She hopes the spy will simply see a young woman foolish enough to want to fight on her own and believe the ploy. The Light is bolstered by people coming from all over the world to fight, sensing the end of all things, while the Shadow welcomes a new Forsaken: Mazrim Taim, now called "M'Hael". On the offscreen conversation between Tuon and Hawkwing: “It was interesting, I’ll tell you that much.”

On the other side, they see Dragonmount in the distance as the body of a member of the Band of the Red Hand falls down a slope behind them and into the fire. Aravine comes through and points at Faile. Arrella, Selande and Mandevwin are captured by air. Aravine apologises and tells them she is a Darkfriend who thought she could escape her vows, but that she intends to take the Horn to Demandred. Hard to put down for even a moment. A fittingly epic conclusion to a fantasy series that many consider one of the best of all time.” — San Francisco Book Review Mat rides towards the Dragonsworn and sees Loial and other Ogier, including some of the Gardeners breaking a Trolloc Fist. He takes the Ogier and continues on to the Dragonsworn and talks with Tinna. He learns Teslyn is with the Dragonsworn. He asks her for a gateway to move as many of the troops as possible to the top of the Heights with the intention of seizing the northern slope and preventing Demandred from fully surrounding Elayne's armies.

New in Series

Am feeling slightly bereft at not having a book 15 to move on to......my most recent other listens all seem to be falling a little short. They've been good, but just don't quite seem to measure up.

Robert Jordan specifically noted that the Tinkers would not find their Song by the end of the series and that the Ogier song of growing is not the Tinkers’ Song. The Song is “a much more deep and philosophical concept, perhaps unattainable.”

He stabs Gawyn in the stomach and tells Gawyn that if he survives, he should tell Lews Therin that Demandred is looking forward to a match between the two and has improved since they last met. ROBERT JORDAN (1948-2007) is best known for his internationally bestselling epic fantasy series The Wheel of Time®, which has sold over 40 million copies in North America and is currently being adapted for the screen. A native of Charleston, Jordan graduated from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, with a degree in physics. He served two tours in Vietnam with the U.S. Army and received multiple decorations for his service. Rand al'Thor was able to light the pipe by manipulating chance as a Ta'veren. In a previous book, he made a threat to Cadsuane Sedai, saying that he could stop her heart through chance by willing it to be so. He could have lit the pipe by willing it to be so in a similar manner. However, I believe this is likely: Rand should no longer be a Ta'veren after he defeated the Dark One. Jordan’s writing is so amazing! The characterization, the attention to detail!” —Clint McElroy, co-creator of the #1 podcast The Adventure ZoneSimply put, they bring life and rhythm to the book. I cannot read it without imagining the characters in their voices. Regarding Nakomi: “With all of the homages to global myths/legends in WoT is it fair to consider Nakomi as a Wandering Jew/Jenn?” Brandon’s response: “That’s a very clever question that nobody has yet asked me. I’m not going to say more, however.” Something else I think is interesting is the fact that the Rand-and-Moridin body switch happened in the tunnel. So Rand, in Moridin's body, carried Rand's body out of the tunnel at the end of the confrontation before collapsing. The people at the cave entrance saw Moridin walking out carrying an unconscious Rand, and decided to heal them both. I think we can attribute that to Min's guidance, based on some viewing she had, but I think it's interesting.
