What is the meaning of the shot in Chapter 8 which reveals the Goldfish Teahouse to be abandoned and dilapidated?. Chapter 44 ends with a similar shot that shows the entirety of Kowloon in this way. Later chapters provides an explanation: The Kowloon we see is also already demolished, but certain people can interact with it in its pre-demolishment state. Perhaps these two shots are comparisons between those who can interact with Kowloon and those who cannot. Central Theme: The Old vs The New. A conflict that is symbolized by Kujirai and Kudou's tensions over her desire to try new things and Kudou's resistance and reliance in habits. Even more so in regards to Kujirai wanting a new relationship with Kudou, while he is still hung up on the previous Kujirai. Sinister Geometry: The Generic Terra. It's a floating and brilliant octahedron that looks exactly like Ramiel from Neon Genesis Evangelion (the trope image for this trope) and hoovers in the sky of Kowloon. The manga builds a subtle sense of dread surrounding it as the viewer and the characters are kept in the dark regarding its true purpose, but are constantly reminded of its presence with scenes of the Kowloon sky. You have a strong ability for plotting out virtually wordless sequences of panels in your storytelling. How do you approach conveying information in your stories without dialogue?

If you have watched a movie called “The Vow”, it has a similar vibe to it; moreover, in the current state, vines of mysteries and suspense is going to crawl over your brain as the story progresses. for potential error; however, I have huge optimism for Mayuzuki’s work since she just completed a fantastic manga piece prior to this one. People are born, they live. There's no meaning to it. But there can be a reason and it's up to you to decide what that reason is. Erotic Eating: Hilariously, when Miyuki has a craving for street food there's a panel of him about to bite into a hot dog with Tao Guen watching him with "Rec" written on his forehead. The implications are pretty clear.

J’ai aimé voir la relation entre Reiko et Hajime évoluer. Une forme de relation haine/amour, comme les aime.Watermelon. She eats them daily, and believes that the mix of eating watermelon and smoking is one of the best things she has. Summary: Welcome to Kowloon Walled City—a dystopian townscape full of people brimming with nostalgia and a place where the past, present, and future converge. OKUMA-SAN: Mayuzuki-sensei is really good at showing the appeal of older characters, both men and women. It might be because she's just really good at observing them in that positive light and then putting that in her works. Meanwhile, in Hong Kong, Miyuki Hebinuma and his boyfriend Gwen have gone to see a classic film at the cinema: The Butterfly Dream, starring an actress so famous for her beauty that Miyuki says his clients still ask him to make them look like her. Jun Mayuzuki: I get asked about how I became a manga artist or how I got into manga a lot. My parents really loved manga, so we had a ton of manga in the house. I was just in the right environment for both reading and enjoying manga and for creating manga. Instead of getting angry at me for reading manga, my parents were like, “Oh, you're reading that? Well, then you should read this one too.” They'd keep recommending me different series. I've also loved drawing ever since I was small. You add that to the fact that I was in a household full of manga, and it was sort of an inevitable outcome.

In chapter 37, Miyuki's boyfriend fawns over his Jasmine scent. When describing Miyuki to Yomei later, he describes him as a "jasmine-scented individual".

Love Redeems: His love for Guen has been considered to make him a considerably nicer and more mellow person.MAYUZUKI: Kowloon doesn't exist anymore, as previously mentioned, so it makes it difficult to draw it in today's world. I decided to make it a story about the not-so-distant future since I'm setting it in Kowloon, which is a place that no longer exists. There are some mysterious elements, such as people who aren't supposed to exist, yet they're alive in the story, but I don't think of my work as science fiction. I do think about the timeline of it, setting it in the near future. Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (in Japanese). Takarajimasha. December 10, 2020. Archived from the original on December 12, 2020 . The setting of Kowloon is definitely one of this manga’s strongest points. It’s clearly designed to give off a nostalgic feeling, and the idea of nostalgia is something this manga has really held onto over the course of over 40 chapters. Like
