About this deal

In this way, the MS-3 can be used either as the starting point to a small, flexible board, or the final pedal to round one off. Looper doesn't let you remove specific layer (or at least just last one), so if you screwed on third or fourth play -delete everything and start over. The GE300 is Mooers’ premium multi-effects process pedal. It has huge advantages over the GE200, the Ampero, The Helix, and the Headrush! Yes, you didn’t read that incorrectly. The GE300 will do something most of these multi-effects pedal processors will not do.

If you are asking if multi-effects pedals are worth it – the answer is “it depends.” For guitarists or bassists wanting a simplified recording tool, then yes. The answer is no for those wanting a true analog experience for live playing. The H90 does an amazing job of marrying your more run-of-the-mill delays and reverbs with some of the weirder pitch-shifting effects to make something that’s perfect for the sonic explorers. If you feel like you’ve tried every effect out there and nothing is quite cutting it for you, then this powerful bit of kit might be the perfect choice. Will any or all of these units replace the need for traditional pedals in a live situation? That’s debatable and comes down to your taste. These are seven great choices if you want to record directly to a sound card or use them in a PA system without an amplifier. My recommendation is always to try before you buy.

Thanks to the intuitive hardware keys, the settings can be adjusted with the touchscreen LED panel and your foot. Headrush Pedalboard The Headrush also supports third-party IR loading. This means you can import your favorite Celestion speaker IRS or any other effects you have IRS for. With a massive 300 effects and over 50 amp sims built-in - plus loads more to be added via firmware updates - HeadRush has painstakingly modeled pretty much any stompbox and amplifier you can think of. There’s some serious depth on offer here and the ability to create your own ‘scenes’ essentially making it work like a multi-switcher, makes it a great choice for the gigging guitarist.

TONE CAPTURE function allows you to sample and capture your real-life amplifier to create brand new digital amp models. The effects are all of the usual things you would need in your guitar rig (and more). Noise gates, compressors, reverbs, delays. There are enough effects here to build amost any sound you would ever want to. Unlike the Mooer this actually sounded pretty good. It gets around the boxyness of the small combo Katana as I'm running it into a big cab. The Origin still sounds better so it's not really worth doing considering the complexity of the rig. Nice to know I can potentially go this way if I get a POD Go or similar. The GE250 and GE300 I don't make any sense to me at all really when you are getting closer to Boss and Line6 money.

Unlike something like the AxeFX it's very simple the amps literally have 3 band EQ and gain so there isn't a lot to be done in terms of searching for a special tweak.

It's also important to know if patches can be run simultaneously, and if so, how many. For example, on modern delay units like the Boss DD-500 you can run two patches in series or parallel. This sort of functionality is even more important on a multi-effect. high-quality effects, including compressors, drives, noise gates, EQs, modulation effects, pitch, filters, delays and reverbs In my experience with the Helix, the simpler you keep the banks or effects, the better the results. The same can also be said for the rest of the units on the list. The integrated 52 second looper with half-speed and reverse effects, team up well with its optional drum machine and auxiliary input for practicing songs at home with the same sounds you will use live at the gig. Moore has an online community producing more IR presets...and you can add your own, too. The community is still small, but you can find some neat sounds there.
