About this deal

Hi mum I’m texting you off a friends phone I’ve smashed mine and their phones about to die, can you WhatsApp my new number please.’ According to Google Ngram Viewer , “me and my mom” is the most common, with “my mom and me” trailing a little behind it. “My mom and I” is hardly used at all in comparison. a b c d e f g h Sayers, Valerie (27 March 2013). "‘Mom & Me & Mom,’ by Maya Angelou". The Washington Post. Retrieved 25 February 2014. Mom & Me & Mom (2013) is the seventh and final book in author Maya Angelou's series of autobiographies. The book was published shortly before Mother's Day and Angelou's 85th birthday. It focuses, for the first time in her books, on Angelou's relationship with her mother, Vivian Baxter. The book explains Baxter's behavior, especially Baxter's abandonment of Angelou and Angelou's older brother when they were young children, and fills in "what are possibly the final blanks in Angelou's eventful life". [1] The book also chronicles Angelou's reunion and reconciliation with Baxter.

My mom and I haven’t spoken for a while. I think there’s something else going on, and I’m not okay with that. I and my mom” is never correct. Just like “me and my mom,” we should always include the pronoun after “my mom.” However, “I and my mom” sounds much more jarring, and “I” should never be followed with “and.” Is It “My Mother And I,” “My Mother And Me,” Or “Me And My Mother”?In a funny way, I sort of fell in love with my mum while doing the documentary. I used to think – rather meanly – that she was a rather ordinary woman, but I came to see there was something special in her – something quite extraordinary – in the way she simply refused to be miserable. Plimpton, George (Fall 1990). "Maya Angelou, The Art of Fiction No. 119". The Paris Review 116. Retrieved 25 February 2014.

I wasn’t sure I wanted to show this film publicly at all. And the one thing I did know was that I wasn’t going to chart my mother’s decline because that would have been too grim. What I did want to do was make a film that showed you can still have a life – and a laugh – together in spite of Alzheimer’s. Because that is what my mother was showing us was possible. What I came to see from Mum was that we shared a family trait – all three of us deal with difficult situations with humour. We laugh our way out of trouble. And while there are very sad moments in the film there’s also a lot of laughter. My mom and me” follows strict language rules associated with formality and politeness. We include the objective pronoun “me” at the end of the collective with no exceptions. Therefore, “me and my mom” is incorrect because it does not allow the other object to come first. What is the best poem for Mother's Day? For many people, it's a beautiful poem about love and all the joy that our mums bring us ... and perhaps is a bit cheeky or funny too!a b c d Als, Hilton (5 August 2002). "Songbird: Maya Angelou takes another look at herself", The New Yorker. Retrieved 25 February 2014. The film is honest. It had to be – I had exposed my family to public scrutiny so I had to show the reality of how hard it sometimes was.
