In the original Fun Pub stories, Shattered Glass Optimus's pre-Prime name was Optronix, a name which originated from Dreamwave's Transformers comics. Meanwhile, as is often the case in Transformers media, IDW's SG Optimus started out as Orion Pax. Though he changed his name, upon successfully conquering Cybertron, Optimus Prime dubbed his territory 'Pax'.

The Starscream: While the named Starscream is genuinely loyal to the Decepticons, Ultra Magnus once tried to usurp power from Optimus after nearly killing him, and it appears that Strongarm seeks to oppose the former as well out of loyalty to the latter. Ultra Magnus himself also still hasn't given up on overthrowing Optimus.

Megatron using math to predict future trends is based on psychohistory from Isaac Asimov's Foundation series of novels, [5] but if we wanted to be cynical about it, we'd probably point out that it's more likely inspired by its then-recent importance in Marvel's Civil War crossover, wherein Mister Fantastic's usage of psychohistory defined his character arc in the event.
