About this deal

Smoky Bacon– Dried milk lactose again scuppers the vegan credentials of yet another Walkers flavour that would otherwise be fine A superior crisp to the lightly salted version, the cider vinegar gives these a bit of bite and they compare well to the higher end versions, such as Kettle Chips.

It’s not clear who came up with the first flavoured crisps (ask any crisp company of sufficiently advanced years and they’ll say, ‘It was us’), but Ireland’s Tayto have a better claim than most with their early-doors cheese and onion circa 1957, with Golden Wonder following suit soon after.

Serve crisps instead of chips

The crisp brands sold by them in the UK are: Kettle Chips, Ridge Cut, Veg Chips, Kettle & More. We’ll list the vegan-friendly flavours of each range in the table below. Crisp Name/Flavour Here are the vegan-friendly flavours in the range: Sun Ripened Sweet Chilli, and Lightly Sea Salted. Another very nice crisp from the Finest range, and again a decent value alternative to some of the branded options. Flavoursome and light, these popped chips compare well to others in the genre, especially on price.

We only use the very finest spuds, peeled and cooked in sunflower oil until they are wonder-fully golden. They have a handful of vegan-friendly own-brand crisps, as detailed below. We had hoped for a little more imagination from Waitrose, but they sell so many branded vegan-friendly crisps that their customers will not be left wanting. Crisp Name/Flavour Whether you love it or hate it, there is no doubt that Marmite is something of a wonder food for vegans because it contains much-needed B vitamins that are not present in many vegan foods. Variety is the spice of life, and One Pound Sweets delivers just that with its extensive range of crisps. From classic flavors to unique twists, there’s something for everyone. Whether you prefer the tangy taste of Pipers or the bold crunch of McCoys, you’ll find your perfect match. The store regularly updates its offerings to keep up with the latest trends and ensure you never run out of options. Fast and Reliable Delivery Tomato Ketchup is one of my favorite flavors of the Walkers brand of crisps. Its tangy, sharp taste is like an explosion in your mouth and a party on your tongue. I love ketchup with most things and these crisps are very addictive. They're great to eat with burgers or sandwiches. A perfect addition to your lunchbox,

Both the Lightly Salted and the Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar flavoured Veg Chips are fine for vegans. Now the food arm of the John Lewis Partnership, Waitrose & Partners actually began life in 1904 as a small grocery store in Acton, in west London. Opening its first supermarkets in the mid-1950s, Waitrose gained a reputation for high quality produce and one that caters particularly to higher end customers (it even has a royal warrant from the Queen and Prince Charles!). The lightly salted version is nice enough, but we prefer the more interesting options mentioned below. Potatoes, Vegetable Oils (Sunflower, Rapeseed in varying proportions), Tomato Ketchup Seasoning [Sugar, Flavourings, Dried Milk Whey, Salt, Tomato Powder, Potassium Chloride, Acid (Citric Acid), Colour (Paprika Extract)], Antioxidants (Rosemary Extract, Ascorbic Acid, Tocopherol Rich Extract, Citric Acid).. Lifestyle / Additives

One of the better value alternative to KP Skips (which apparently may contain milk or egg based on the potential of cross-contamination), this option from Waitrose will satisfy many crisp fiends who used to love their Skips. One of the first and arguably still one of the best of the premium ranges of crisps to appear on supermarket shelves, Kettle Chips have a superior consistency, crunch and flavour to many conventional crisps. With a little less salt than the standard Ready Salted crisps, these will appeal to those who care about such things. They taste pretty similar. If you're making a fish pie, cauliflower cheese or macaroni cheese, why not add some crunch on top with a few smashed-up crisps? You can grate some cheese and add that to the mix as well. You could do the same with pasta. Walkers fans have plenty to go on based on the above table of vegan-friendly Walkers crisps (assuming the vegans in question are fine with milk products being handled in the same factory). To be on the safe side, and for those who are interested, here are the main Walkers crisps that are not vegan based on the inclusion of animal-derived ingredients.
