Harvey's Dream (⭐️⭐️⭐️.5) -- Janet realizes as she watches out the window at the neighborhood in the morning around her that the dream her husband describes might have some unusual qualities. This was a good story, but I didn't get the turn until talking about it with my reading buddy! Stationary Bike: A man desperate to lose weight sets up a stationary bike in his basement, which seems to transport him to alternative realities.

At first he saw nothing, because the moon was shining on the protective plastic. He took a step closer, then one to the left, moving Willa aside to do it. He was sure there were no what you’d call nightclubs in Crowheart Springs, where the passenger station was just a long green shed with WYOMING and “THE EQUALITY STATE” painted on the side in red, white, and blue. No nightclubs, no discos, but there were undoubtedly bars, and he thought she’d settle for one of those. If she couldn’t go clubbin’, she’d go jukin’.

The Gingerbread Girl - this was a highlight within this collection. The pace is relentless, almost like the pace of Emily... see what I did there? *insert smug face* This short story was full of tension and had me feeling nervous, it really had some classic King themes in here. It also reminded me a bit of Duma Key given the location!

Milky Way camera settings are pretty simple, but they may require a little tinkering depending on your camera and location. With a wide angle lens, a good starting point is to open your aperture as wide as possible, set your ISO to 3200, and set your shutter speed to 20 seconds. From here, you may need to adjust the settings to match your environment, but probably not by too much in any direction. The second is that your metabolic crew - those fellows in the chinos with the tattoos on their arms - aren't getting any younger. They're not as efficient as they used to be.'When composing an image at night, consider the impact of movement and light. Roads can offer the opportunity for light trails, while the general bustle of a city can make for a great contrast with the static buildings. The direction of the moonlight can also make a big difference, as well as the phase of the moon – a full moon that’s low on the horizon can light the scene quite dramatically, while a new moon provides the best opportunity to photograph stars or meteor showers. NIKON Z 7 + NIKKOR Z 14-30mm f/4 S @ 18mm, ISO 800, 1/8, f/4.0 We have all had moments where we promise to get into exercise or alternatively, we get into it and it becomes an obsession. This is Stephen King's brilliant take on those observations.

The cat in The Cat from Hell is effectively one, despite having only one deliberate target. It just takes everyone else out before finally going after that person. Slap Yourself Awake: In The Gingerbread Girl, Emily bites down on her injured lip to keep herself from passing out when she should be trying to untie herself. Photographing landscapes and cityscapes at night can be a great way to find new material in a scene you’re already familiar with. Fortunately, it’s easy to get started with these subjects, as you can take your time and experiment with settings. NIKON D810 + 24-70mm f/2.8 @ 42mm, ISO 125, 5 seconds, f/6.3 Graduation Afternoon: A young woman knows she's attending one of her boyfriend's family's gatherings for the last time. It turns out being the last in more ways than one. Editor's Note: If you get a great photo of any of the planets and would like to share it with Space.com's readers, send your photo(s), comments, and your name and location to [email protected] .Like any new skill, learning night photography can be an iterative process. When you get your first shots on your computer at home, don’t be afraid to look at them with a critical eye. Understanding the impact of exposure settings and technical elements can make for a better photo taking experience any time you use your camera. There was a wolf, too,” he said. “I clapped my hands and scared it off. I’m thinking of changing my name to Wolf Frightener.” I'm not going to say too much about this. I'm sure many have very personal stories or memories regarding this. I do not often have strong emotional reactions to much in life, but this story cut me up, This made my skin crawl, my hairs stand on end and maybe produce the odd tear or two. One of the most poignant pieces of writing I've ever had the opportunity to read.

As David stepped out onto the concrete platform where detraining passengers waited for the shuttle to Crowheart Springs, Palmer frowned. “Not a good idea, my young friend.” This story could be the funniest of all his short stories. As much as it is funny it is also incredibly scary due to its subject matter and the sheer tension built up with incredible writing.Excuse me, kiddies,” Palmer said. “Duty calls.” And he was gone. David turned to Willa, thinking she’d ask him what else he had expected, but Willa was looking at the notice posted beside the stairs. In our schedule, remember that when measuring the angular separation between two celestial objects, your clenched fist held at arm’s length measures roughly 10 degrees. Here We Go Again!: At the end of N., the psychiatrist who had been treating the titular patient ends up infected by his madness and tries to piece together what happened to him.
