About this deal

Of course, this doesn’t mean that it is a perfect instrument for every player on the planet, and there are many who will dislike what it has to offer. Pros

However, the Gear4music extended warranty scheme provides an enhanced service, and is designed to offer a higher level of protection than many 'free' warranties offered by some retailers and manufacturers. I probably mentioned already that EC-1000 is one of the most popular ESP models. What I didn’t say before is that there are a couple of versions you can find. Firstly, there are different options when it comes to the bridge. ESP LTD guitars usually boast exceptional durability and this instrument is no different. It’s made of solid dense tonewood and all the components feel very firm and reliable too. To summarize, yes, it is possible to replace parts on EC-1000, but besides the nut I don’t think there is anything you can upgrade. Alternatives To The Instrument In Terms Of Look, Feel, Sound, Specs, And PriceNevertheless, if you are used to this feature and need to have it on every guitar you own, beware that this instrument doesn’t come with a factory preinstalled tremolo, and it’s also quite problematic to find a separately sold tremolo that would fit it. Are there any alternatives? ESP LTD M100FM It’s also a lot lighter than a Les Paul, so you’ll be able to play long sessions, sitting or standing. Don’t get me wrong. There are definitely guitars out there that are higher quality than the EC-1000. However, you’ll have to pay a lot more for a guitar that’s only marginally better. For what it’s worth, I personally have played both of these guitars extensively and ended up buying the EC-1000. From my experience, I felt that these two guitars are so close that I couldn’t justify shelling out the extra cash.

As with ESP, the price is a bit higher, but you will get an incredible instrument if you decide to buy it. Summary Others love them because of their high output and punchiness. They’re very good for fast rhythm chugs and Djent shenanigans. Personally, I wouldn’t use EMG’s for everything, but I do prefer them when I’m playing rhythm in heavier metal songs.LTD is ESP’s subsidiary founded in the 1990s and focusing on a mix of semi-professional quality and affordability. In terms of playability, this is one of the EC-1000’s best qualities. Since the guitar is built so well, it plays like a dream right out of the box. I really didn’t even need to do a major setup when I first got it. Over the years, the company expanded, and they soon started making their own versions of well-known models. In 1983, ESP started designing custom models since getting a custom Gibson or Fender was nearly impossible at the time. I've been playing for going on 25 years, I use a Marshall JCM 2000 and an orange TH30. I also use a line 6 HD500x pedal board in my effects loops.

Matt Finish Warning - Please note that the matt finish used on this guitar marks incredibly easily. During the final factory inspection & our own internal quality control inspection its impossible to completely remove finger marks & light playing marks. Anyone who buys one of these guitars should do so in the knowledge that this finish will probably arrive with some minor marks, and that certainly after a few hours playing it will never look pristine again. If you want a guitar that will arrive & potentially stay pristine, then please find the gloss finish version of this guitar. Thanks!A small weak point to consider: The frets on this guitar definitely needed more attention. Their edges feel a bit sharp and uneven, so prepare to do some polishing before you get into some serious riffing. Sound The body features a Les Paul single cut style, but much thinner. This makes it a lot more comfortable to rest in your lap. The HH combination and the shape will give you a similar sound and feeling, but it will not be the exact same situation as with ESP. For those who are looking for something a bit different, Dean might be a perfect choice. This guitar has such a good deep clean tone, but when you get it dirty is when it really shines. I will say that the fender does edge it out when playing those clean blues tones, but this is no slouch. I've owned this guitar for about 10 years.... and I can honestly say that even though my strat is valued over a grand more, I'd grab this one in a fire.
