Atom's advanced Gel technology series offers you a lighter, more compact battery with a reduced charging time over your standard conventional battery. The best way to assure long term performance of your motorcycle battery is to keep it charged on a regular basis. The majority of modern chargersare now automatic, this means they can be constantly attached to the batteryand will only provide charge to the battery when necessary. A very popular method amongst most motorcyclists is to keep the charging leads attached to the battery at all times and stowed away in the battery compartment when riding, this way they can be easily reconnected to the charger when the motorcycle is not in use. AGM technology gives the battery a longer life and shorter charging time, making Atom AGM ideal for seasonal us or longer periods of storage. Minimal internal resistance gives each Atom AGM a higher power output. AGM batteries have higher Cold Cranking Amps making winter starting easier. The YTX9-BS Motorbike battery is suitable for applications such as motorcycles, scooter, all-terrain vehicles, light plant, agricultural vehicles and lawnmowers. These batteries offer a cost-effective alternative to the larger branded batteries. The YTX9-BS Motorbike battery is built to ensure optimum performance. The YTX9-BS is a 12 Volt high-performance battery and is recommended for when reliability and the extra power is a necessity. VRLA (Valve regulated lead acid) batteries are also known as 'maintenance free' batteries. They do not require topping up. Please Note: Gel batteries are not suitable for high current draw applications such as cold-starting large or high compression engines.

Gel batteries are already filled with acid at the factory and do not require the user to add the electrolyte.
