About this deal

Ella wants a new start for herself and her 10 year old son Sam. Hopefully Chalk Hill is the place to do it. Looking for a new direction before moving, she had completed a real estate certificate. Irma Honeychurch’s house is her first listing but it’s not going too well.....that’s maybe because her grandson Jake Honeychurch doesn’t really want it sold. I want to start by saying that it’s so fun seeing content creators who you’ve grown to love because of their love for books become authors The two main characters Kate and Jude are very different from one another but also share some similarities. First of all they are both killers (I have a strange obsession with them!). While Kate was very impulsive in her behavior, Jude was more calculated and didn't act before thinking things through. However, they both had a very unique upbringing and handled some things the same way. They definitely brought balance and some type of peace to each other. However it didn't all go according plan and there were some major obstacles they had to overcome. When they first met they recognized something in each other, they both felt a connection that they couldn't ignore. Their coming together was inevitable. Apart from spending her days writing, Kels enjoys long hikes and watching cult-classic scary movies. It took me by surprise, I was not expecting to adore it this much. I’ve already blabbered about it so much to a few friends they can’t wait for release day to read it themselves!

This was such a well done debut novel by Kels and Denise. The writing was good and the plot was well developed. I loved how passionate Ave and Luca were and why they specifically chose this industry as a career. Sheds light on a very important issue and how we need to be doing more for our planet. Jake Honeychurch, owner of his Nanna's home therefore Ella's hope for her new career, didn't want to sell, but circumstances were against him. So when Ella had an offer well below the listed price, she wasn't surprised by the owner's response. This may be the craziest book I have ever read! No joke. It was not at all what I thought it would be, but trust me, I am not complaining. Look, I know I complained a little about this book but I must stress that my patience really runs thin with contemporary rural romance. I keep giving the genre another go and thinking I’ll eventually be won over. Maybe one day… Lots of people adore chook lit, however, and if you’re one of them I would recommend this book. There’s nothing wrong with Malone’s writing and I’m sure most readers would give Water Under the Bridge a higher rating.

Ella needs a fresh start and selling property in Chalk Hill should be a perfect opportunity. She's a single mother and her son Sam is having trouble adjusting to his new surroundings. Ella wants to take care of herself for a change, but her son isn't happy they left the city. Ella's first assignment is selling the house Jake's grandmother left him and his brothers. Jake's asking price is outrageous, but she's been given a chance and she's going to try to sell the place. However, is Jake really interested in selling the house or does he secretly want to keep it? Sometimes the people who are meant to love you forget how to, and you wander through life alone. That ache of loneliness simply dulls to resemble a fading bruise" At the core of the story are two people, Neil Atkins and Maggie McGhee. Neil is an aspiring actor torn by guilt and frustrated desire. Raised in poverty by a gutsy, passionate ex-showgirl, he wants to leave that life behind and win the love of intriguing, wealthy Carrie Mazzini, who is looking for a man to transform her. You have to use your buoyancy compensator, make yourself “negatively buoyant,” so you’re almost prone on the bottom. It looks as if you’re doing a push-up. You’re as far down as you could possibly be.

avery and luca’s banter had me laughing and hyperventilating at times. the spice in this book?!???? WHEW i mean don’t let the innocent cover fool you. the games they constantly played made me feel so happy?? i did cry a few times, i must say lol But determination and persistence are traits Jake admires, and Ella has them in spades. After all, no one ever made an Olympic team by being a quitter. Don Barry holds up a daring mirror to spiritual leaders. Not everyone will want to look. But those who seek spiritual leadership that is true to the patterns of Scripture and consistent with God's unique design for them, will be encouraged by the hard look Don helps them take at themselves and their values. You'll want to read this book twice ... once just to enjoy a story of humility and authenticity rewarded, and a second time to adjust the values shaping your leadership."

If you asked the men why they didn’t believe the story, they would answer quite logically. This was Victoria, British Columbia, a small island in the Pacific Northwest famed for it’s natural beauty and easygoing lifestyle. Young girls did not get murdered in Victoria. Girls in this town, they grew up unharmed. They shopped at Hillside Mall, attended schools named after politicians and war heroes. Girls lived safely on streets named after trees and explorers. Girls may have been murdered in the closest big cities of Vancouver and Seattle; in these cities murders were common and no one would be surprised to hear the story of a young girl brutally murdered. But girls did not die young here on this idyllic island, a sheltered paradise. Gos never before had been asked to investigate the murder of a young girl. Their story is set in another favourite setting for me - near the Porongorups in Western Australia - having been there less than six months ago, it felt familiar (which is always a good thing for me). A story of moving on, belonging, and opening hearts, Water Under the Bridge is a novel that I've been waiting to read for ages ... and it was absolutely worth the wait. I’m not saying that I support murder because I definitely don’t. But this novel lets you really get into the heads of two people who do see that as an option. The author does an incredible job of explaining their thought processes. In fact, there were times when one or both of them thought something through so thoroughly that I could almost believe that murder was the best option, that they were enacting some sort of vigilante justice in their own way and actually doing society a favor. That makes this both an incredibly interesting story and one that is relatively creepy. Understanding the motivations of such characters so thoroughly can definitely be psychologically chilling. But it’s chilling in a way that I can’t help but love. Goodreads Librarians are volunteers who help ensure the accuracy of information about books and authors in the Goodreads' catalog. What They're Saying:

Under the Bridge is a prodigiously researched and carefully observed account of a senseless murder and its aftermath. Rebecca Godfrey brings a sympathetic imagination and a finely tuned ear for language to bear on a dark subject, with spectacular results." Avery and freaking Luca!! Such an amazing Rivals-to-Lovers. This book had me by the throat, I could not put it down (I was up till 2 am reading the first night)! The banter was so good! THE TENSION! You have to wait a bit for the spice, and they do tease us a bit haha, but when you finally get there it is really good. I'm sorry, i refuse to believe that this was a debut. there is no way!! please explain how it was so utterly perfect if it is one? how it is absolutely flawless in every way?? What would happen to Ella and Sam's future? Would they be happy in Chalk Hill, or would they have to start again somewhere else? Ella Davenport's first listing in the small town of Chalk Hill was a big old home she was keen to sell. The owner wouldn't return her calls, so she prepared the best she could, cleaning out the house - even enlisting her ten year old son Sam to help - much to his disgust.
