About this deal

Bake for 40 minutes, or until the blondies are cooked. Use the skewer test, ensuring that it comes out dry and not wet with batter. It’s okay if there’s a slight wobble in the center. As the blondies cool, they will set further. With my oven it took around 50 minutes to achieve the desired consistency. Watch the baking time: It is very easy for blondies to turn from being lovely and chewy to dry and crumbly if they’re over-baked. I prefer to take mine out a minute or two early to ensure they have a chewy centre. Place your biscuits in the oven and bake for 7-10 mins, until they start to just turn golden brown. Set them aside to cool.

As long your ingredients are in good condition and you prepare the recipe safely, there's nothing in this recipe that should pose a risk to a pregnant person. To create this recipe, I started with my popular Raspberry White Chocolate Blondies. The recipe uses melted butter to create very soft, moist and buttery blondies. Exactly what I wanted here. It's important to wrap these blondies because of the jam layer on top. The jam layer will make the blondies especially susceptible to freezer burn.

Make sure to chill the biscuits again if you are not baking straight away – and for example if only a few trays fit in your oven at a time. if you’re still having trouble baking blondies, see my notes section at the bottom of this recipe for further tips on the baking and cooling process. I hope you love these blondies as much as I do!

So unless you have a mixer bowl you can set over a double boiler, it will probably just make more washing up to use a stand mixer. Can I make Jammie Dodger Blondies with a food processor?Jammie Dodgers also bring out limited edition versions with different fillings and flavours, so if you can't find raspberry or strawberry Jammie Dodgers, any other flavour would work. Butter: I highly recommending weighing your butter (and flour) for this recipe to ensure you have the correct ratio. Too much butter and your blondies will be oily and soggy. If you choose to use the cup/tablespoon measurements, please note I have used American/UK sized tablespoons: 1 tablespoon = 15 ml. Nigella Lawson says: "Generally you reduce the round cake tin size by 2cm (1-inch) to arrive at the equivalent size of square cake tin. So a 20cm (8-inch) round cake tin can be switched for an 18cm (7-inch) square tin and a 23cm (9-inch) round tin can be switched for a 20cm (8-inch) square tin." Can I make Jammie Dodger Blondies in a stand mixer such as a KitchenAid or Kenwood Mixer? Now WAIT until they have cooled down completely, overnight even if you can wait that long, then slice using a large serrated knife. TIPS FOR PERFECT BLONDIES

Instructions

Like brownies, they are very easy to make requiring just a mixing bowl and a spoon! I love these Jammie Dodger blondies because they use my fave combo – raspberry and white chocolate. For the caramel you need to use Unsalted Butter rather than a baking spread like Stork. I remove it from the fridge just before I put it in the saucepan so that it is still cold.
