About this deal

You cannot get flexible dentures on the NHS as standard, but they may be offered to patients who can't wear traditional dentures, perhaps because of allergies or another reason. You'll need to discuss this with your dentist; ultimately they will decide which type you are eligible for on the NHS. Semi-flexible full dentures cost a similar amount, again with prices varying according to the materials used. Can you get flexible dentures on the NHS? Soak your appliance in Val-Clean® Denture Cleanser for 10-15 minutes daily. You may also soak your appliance overnight 3 times a week for effective cleaning. Valplast Flexible Dentures are very durable and are designed to give long term performance under normal usage. Please note that the Valplast base material will resist fracture or breakage better than the synthetic teeth that are embedded in it. Small accidents such as dropping the appliance in the sink or on the floor will not damage the Valplast, but may cause the teeth to fracture. Please handle the dental appliance with care.

Val-Clean contains 12 sachets and is approximately a 1 year supply. Each sachet contains a 4 week supply of solution. It comes with a measuring spoon which you use to measure out a quarter of a sachet (one spoonful) of Val-Clean denture cleaner mixed with 165ml of warm water which you then add your appliance to. So one sachet will last you a 4 week period if measured and stored correctly. Store brands of denture cleaner are not recommended for cleaning a Valplast ® appliance, as they are not effective and may contain ingredients that can damage the Valplast ®or its color. Flexible dentures also have a higher starting price than acrylic, so they are unlikely to be offered by the NHS.However, you may experience a brief adjustment period, especially if you have never worn a dental appliance before. Specially formulated cleaning agent for flexible appliances FDC is supplied in boxes of 12 weekly dose sachets; designed to last for up to three months. Loose particles can be removed with the use of a sonic denture cleaner, or by placing the appliance under running water. Brushing a Valplast appliance with a tooth brush is not recommended as this may remove the polish and roughen the surface over time. However, the use of the Flexible Denture Brush will not harm your Valplast denture. You'll be glad to know that most patients become immediately accustomed to their comfortable and light-weight Valplast restoration. Full instructions are included with each box of 12 sachets – 3 months supply. You simply empty one sachet of FDC™ Flexible Denture Cleaner into 235ml of warm water and allow to stand for 3 minutes. Rinse your denture under running water before placing it in FDC™ solution for at least 15-20 minutes each day. Alternatively for added convenience it is safe to soak your denture in FDC solution overnight.

In fact, most Valplast Flexible Partials are fabricated without the use of a metal frame - made instead from a strong, durable plastic that snaps securely and comfortably into place around existing natural teeth and gums. Toothpaste and toothbrushes may scratch or dull the surface of your Valplast appliance. Be sure to remove your Valplast restoration whenever you brush your natural teeth. When cleaning your denture, do so with a hand towel in your washbasin or fill the washbasin with water to prevent you from dropping the dentures and breaking them – this is really common! They don't move and particles of food don't get beneath the dentures. Can't tell where dentures begin and own teeth end. Marvelous!Flexible dentures are made from a soft and, of course, flexible thermoplastic material. They are touted for their various benefits, like being more comfortable than normal dentures, being harder to break, and being suitable for people who are allergic to traditional denture materials. Why use a Sonic Cleaner? A sonic cleaner uses high frequency sound waves to create tiny bubbles in liquid. This is used to thoroughly clean dentures as the bubbles dislodge and remove contaminants and food particles from areas of dentures that are otherwise difficult to clean. Combining this sonic action with a suitable denture cleaner will greatly enhance the effectiveness of this process. A daily 15 minute soaking has proven to be effective in maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of Valplast®. Overnight soaking of Valplast® in Val-Clean solution will not harm the appliance.
