The nanoKONTROL is compatible with any software that supports MIDI input, including KORG Gadget, Logic, GarageBand, Live, Reason, Cubase, Studio One, FL Studio, Sonar, Pro Tools, Digital Performer, and Traktor. I've followed all the instructions but I just can't seem to get it to work. if anyone can help, id greatly appreciate it. I managed to get Ableton to detect it once, then it failed to recognize the device as soon as I restarted my pc / unplugged the nanokontrol device. I rang their support guys and they answered the question immediately. It is in fact in their documentation. Here's how it worked:

While holding down the Scene and Marker Set buttons, turn on the nanoKONTROL Studio to set it to Cubase mode. Once the nanoKONTROL Studio has been set to Cubase mode, it will continue operating in that mode.

Nothing in this agreement shall affect the statutory rights of any person dealing with Korg as a consumer. With the Korg NanoKontrol in Assignable Mode, I have used the Korg Editor to assign CC numbers to the 24 buttons, 8 knobs and 8 faders. Using a USB cable to connect to the Apple Camera Connection Kit, Korg nanoSERIES2 controllers can be used with the iPad, without an external power supply. Korg reserves the right to make modifications to the Licensed Program and to the support services set out in clause 7 of this agreement (referred to in this agreement as “the Services”) without prior notification to you.

The following are examples of the setup procedures for various DAW software titles. > For details on specifying settings and using the DAW software, refer to the instruction manual for the software. In the event that Third Party Software is supplied, you agree to be bound by and to observe any terms and conditions relating to the use of such Third Party Software.

This warranty shall however only apply to the latest version of the Licensed Program (provided that Korg has reasonably made such version available to you) and shall not apply to any previous version or versions of the Licensed Program.
