In the main window, you can see a list of ASTRO devices that are connected to your computer. You can select a device from the list to view and adjust its settings. Gaming with the Astro A10
Astrophysics. That one goes without saying. The more colonies you have, the better. It is explained when to get astrophysics earlier in this guide. Sidetone Level: Sidetone level, which is the technical term for 'how you hear yourself in the headset' can now be adjusted. To avoid that, you have to place your planets correctly in the universe. Planet positioning, however, can be changed by using the relocation option (normally costs 240.000 DM per planet, but there are happy hours when you can relocate for a lower price, usually 168.000 DM). Given its low price, Logitech has understandably cut down on design features that you’d expect from premium headsets. We would have certainly liked to see the device include a detachable microphone for gamers who prefer single-player campaigns. Still, it likely would have added a significant price increase. The platform itself has a built-in intervalometer, so if your DSLR doesn’t have one built in you can just attach it to the camera mount. Around 60-second exposures are achievable using a 100mm lens, though a counterweight is available that ups the load limit to 3kg. The images are very good, and we are impressed with the crystal clear results: we even managed to try a touch of deep-sky astrophotography with a fair outcome.
As far as fit, each earphone can slide about an inch downward to fit around your head, and I found it to be comfortably snug – it stayed in place steadily without squeezing my head too hard in the process.
Hold up! Something’s different:
Solar satellites are affected by planet temperature, while solar plants and fusion reactors are not. You’ll learn more about why temperature is important later in this guide. This means you don’t need to install Astro-specific drivers. But if you have problems with your headsets or other Astro products, you can update or install related drivers such as NVIDIA or Realtek audio drivers. After Astrophysics level 23, the ROI is not good and the investments repay after a very long time, so it is basically a matter of whether you want to get the tech and further mines or not. I personally think that Deathstars (RIPs) are a better investment that late in the game. The Astro A10 Gen 2 doesn’t have a mute button; instead, you can achieve the same effect using a clever feature that mutes your audio input whenever you flip the built-in microphone upwards away from your face. While we would have preferred a mute button, it's good the Astro A10 has a mute function since this is a feature that often finds itself omitted from budget headsets. If there’s no update available, you can uninstall these devices, and reboot your PC. Once coomplete, the driver will be installed automatically. Boosters. These are worth spending all your DM on after you get officers. Even 10% difference is large, while 40% is huge. +52% to your mining income from officers and boosters is a bigger bonus that you’d think, and allows for at least double account size if you start with them and play for a month compared to players who don’t use DM. To ensure no interruptions, we recommend powering the Polarie from a portable battery over a micro USB, something that we did find to work best over switching batteries out throughout our session. The best military tech for expedition fleets, as you take less losses depending on the difference between your weapons and armour (if your armour tech is 3-4 levels higher than weapons tech, you will barely take any LC losses on expos).
