The main event next week is Battleforces, massive boxes containing a wealth of units for a faction. They’re the ideal place to start a new army for the new year , or to expand an existing force. There are 10 boxes (count ‘em) split between Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar. First up, everyone’s favourite grim future gets six boxes. The Plaguefester Warband is the definitive image of an unstoppable Death Guard army, with a Champion and Icon Bearer leading seven Plague Marines and three Deathshroud Terminators. Three Myphitic Blight-haulers and a Plagueburst Crawler cover their march, crushing resistance with the hellish firepower these war engines are feared for. In this box, a Captain and his entourage of Bladeguard Veterans lead a balanced heavy infantry force of 10 Intercessors, 10 Assault Intercessors, and five Heavy Intercessors. Meanwhile, a fast and agile Storm Speeder Hailstrike is perfect for flanking enemy forces, or taking down hard targets when built either as the Hammerstrike or Thunderstrike variant. If you’re after a nigh-unstoppable force that advances inexorably into battle, and against which even the fiercest assault will break, the Plaguefester Warband is the set for you. In addition to a solid force of infantry in the form of Plague Marines and Deathshroud Terminators, you’ll get the supporting firepower of a Plagueburst Crawler and a trio of deadly Myphitic Blight-haulers.Ravenguard is just like the Imperial Fists, great for new players and not any big named models. Adeptus Mechanicus – Technoarcheologist Zatu has an excellent range of games and for most of them the best prices too. Delivery is always fast and I have never received a game in bad condition. 10/10 would recommend. Like the T Sons, the Death Guard have their Primarch with them! Likewise, the Master of the Dead Who Walk aura adds to the effectiveness of Poxwalkers and combines effectively with The Wrathful Dead company stratagem.

There Is Only War in the 41st Millennium – These Battleforces

The very first thing we need to deal with is the Lord of the Death Guard keyword. When constructing your army, each Death Guard detachment may include no more than 1 Lord of the Death Guard. Likewise, each detachment may include no more than 1 Daemon Prince. If you want many lords in your Death Guard HQ you’re going to need multiple samll detachments. On the other hand you’ll easily have room to include psychers in your list. Typhus For just a morsel of Gotrek action from the World-that-Was, Orcslayer by Nathan Long provides just that. After 20 years of exploring strange new lands, Gotrek and Felix return to the Old World, and an ancient path leads the pair to a dwarf prince who wants to reclaim his kingdom from hordes of Greenskins.
