first and foremost, going outdoors and placing your feet directly on the Earth for 30 minutes at a time And then the dog started hanging out on the lawn. Earthing. And it became so mellow, it refused to come inside at night. Stephen T. Sinatra, M.D., F.A.C.C., is a board-certified cardiologist, a certified bioenergetic psychotherapist, and a certified nutrition and anti-aging specialist. He is the author of the best-selling book The Sinatra Solution: Metabolic Cardiology.

When indoors, an Earth connection can be made by driving a metal rod into the ground outside, running a wire from the rod, and then connecting it to ourselves. At the end of the last century, experiments initiated independently by Ober in the USA [ 10] and K. Sokal and P. Sokal [ 11] in Poland revealed distinct physiological and health benefits with the use of conductive bed pads, mats, EKG- and TENS-type electrode patches, and plates connected indoors to the Earth outside. Ober, a retired cable television executive, found a similarity between the human body (a bioelectrical, signal-transmitting organism) and the cable used to transmit cable television signals. When cables are “grounded” to the Earth, interference is virtually eliminated from the signal. Furthermore, all electrical systems are stabilized by grounding them to the Earth. K. Sokal and P. Sokal, meanwhile, discovered that grounding the human body represents a “universal regulating factor in Nature” that strongly influences bioelectrical, bioenergetic, and biochemical processes and appears to offer a significant modulating effect on chronic illnesses encountered daily in their clinical practices. One of the most dramatic demonstrations of the benefits of grounding is the effect it has on the blood (see image above). On the right are darkfield microscope images of blood taken from three individuals just before and after forty minutes of grounding. The before images are on the left, the after on the right. The pictures clearly show a dramatic thinning and decoupling of the blood cells. The blood samples were taken during research into grounding by Dr Stephen Sinatra MD. Illnesses do not come upon us out of the blue. They are developed from small daily sins against Nature. When enough sins have accumulated, illnesses will suddenly appear.”So I came to this book with an open but very sceptical mind and with the attitude that I would have to see a lot of impressive evidence and solid logic to be convinced that this concept was worth bothering with and worth supporting.

The mats are okay to use and only mildly annoying on occasion, such as when I scrunch them up in my sleep, but most of the time I don't even notice they are there. The prices are pretty good for grounding products although I do have some concern about how you know when they need to be replaced in years to come. Persist he did. Eventually, Clint found open-minded experts in the fields of medicine, physiology, and biophysics and inspired a series of research projects showing that the surface of the Earth is like one gigantic anti-inflammatory, sleep booster, and energizer-all wrapped up in one. Let’s start with this book. Clinton Ober is known as the father of modern earthing. He conducted the original experiments to test his theory. This book introduces you to the concept of earthing and tells the story of how it was discovered, or more accurately, rediscovered. This book goes beyond a basic primer. After the initial experiment in the early 2000s, Ober kept up to date with the latest research and discoveries on the topic of earthing.Earth (The Book): A Visitor's Guide to the Human Race is a 2010 humor book written by Jon Stewart and other writers of The Daily Show, and is a sequel to America (The Book). [1] Synopsis [ edit ] And I'm not going to plug my bed into an outlet. We're bombarded with really unhealthy EMF waves all day, especially now with tech everywhere in our homes and outside. So there's something about this plugging in things to "connect with the earth" that just seems a bit far fetched. Since no one has ever seen an electron, for most people it remains a theoretical entity. It is this invisibility that makes it so difficult to accept them as real entities that reliably treat diseases more effectively than antibiotics or prescription drugs. Yet this is precisely the case. Maybe one day people will truly wake up to the dangers of EMFs from all of our electronics including the horrible Smart Meters we have had forced down our throats by the NWO and the electric companies. A class action lawsuit is far overdo. And maybe, just maybe one day people will realize how far disconnected from the earth we have really become. Our stupidity is our own demise. And unfortunately, we are taking the animals and the planet down with us.

The idea of going barefoot on the Earth or using products that have a similar effect is no longer in the realm of new age or esoteric ideas. It has also received considerable attention from the academic and clinical research community. Studies have found that our body goes through significant measurable changes when we are in connection with the Earth. Some of these effects include changes in cortisol levels, blood pressure, and a quantifiable effect on depression and anxiety. I first heard about "Earthing" about a year ago when I read a very interesting article about the subject. I finally decided to buy the book and am delighted that I did. While some may say there isn't enough scientific evidence yet to conclude that being grounded to the Earth provides health benefits, the authors do share quite a bit of clinical data that supports their claims. To me it just makes intuitive sense that the Earth, with its wealth of negative ions that constantly stream from its surface, can be of healing benefit to human beings whose bodies constantly create positive ions (i.e., free radicals) as a result of the various chemical processes occurring within them 24/7. The real-life stories shared by people who have received healing benefits from being grounded are very interesting, and clearly suggest there is merit to this entire grounding concept. Unfortunately, with our modern rubber or plastic soled shoes and insulated sleeping arrangements, we no longer have a natural electrical connection to the Earth, unless walking barefoot. As someone who, for several years, has been interested in alternative healing techniques, this book fits really well with my paradigms. It offers a scientific explanation for the success of 'natural' or 'energetic' healing that science has thus far been unable to explain. As a result, anyone with a similar interest in energy medicine should find this book really useful. Also, the book was simply thought-provoking read on the basis that the underlying concept is so simple and, in a way, obvious, but we have only recently re-discovered it (the book suggests that many indigenous peoples are aware of the concept of Earthing, even if they do not call it as such, or know exactly why it works). Grounding, or earthing, refers to connecting electrically with the Earth. A growing body of research is finding numerous health benefits as a result of the physical body being grounded.Maybe the author just rubbed me the wrong way. But after buying a book to learn the science behind something and then learning that the science behind it is all within his own experience and testimonials, I feel duped. I kept waiting to see a citation of an objective source and science-based study about how this affects inflammation. I have yet to find that.
