About this deal

The bass reflex ports have been moved to the front to allow for more flexible positioning without sacrificing any bass response. The Edifier R1850DB speaker is a device that delivers high-quality sound for an enhanced audio experience. It offers a sleek and modern design, making it suitable for various settings. The speaker utilizes advanced audio technologies to produce clear and immersive sound reproduction. There are plenty of alternatives available if you are looking for small monitors. Depending on your needs, some of these options may be a better choice. Edifier R1700BT Review First, the low-end is sufficiently deep without overpowering boominess. You can add a subwoofer if the bass is insufficient for your needs. Second, the mids are remarkable without muddy tones. Also, the highs are clean, and there is an excellent balance between the mids and lows. As a result, spoken words come out clearly both in vocal performances and dialogue in movies. A light on the front of the active speaker will change colour to show what the current input mode is. This light will change to blue when you are in Bluetooth mode.

The size of the speakers are fairly compact also. The remote control is fairly simple and sturdy with just a mute button and the volume control. Just like the R1700BT, the 19mm silk dome tweeter delivers the similar pristine high that we are used to. The specifications are where I do a double take, then a triple, and a fourth before I realize what I’m seeing on paper is real. How can you possibly put so many features into a speaker at this price point, box it and deliver it? The value proposition, the functionality, and as we will find out in the sound portion of our review is all there. Build and Aesthetic ImpressionsWe were not paid for this review. The speakers have since been returned to the PR Company working on behalf of Edifier.

The RMS is powered by 60W and allows the speaker to reach loud volumes around the 100dB mark before distortion becomes noticeable. Maybe because they didn’t engineer the remote but took an existing design and just printed their own label? R1700BT units have a solid build quality with ideal weight to keep them in place. In addition, the exterior casing features a high-performance MDF wood with vinyl walnut woodgrain wrap to add a decorative touch. This makes the speakers ideal for any studio or home application. If you press the volume button, it toggles between inputs such as Bluetooth, RCA, optical and coaxial. The 1850db is quite comparable to the 1700BT in terms of sound quality. In addition, it delivers incredible performance with minimal power wastages. Every aspect of Edifier’s R1850DB bookshelf speakers are designed with purpose. The medium-density fibreboard [MDF] enclosure reduces distortion and minimises acoustic resonance. The base of the speaker is angled at a 10-degree incline for dynamic precision and delivery. The design of the angle directs sound from the woofers right to your ears producing 70 watts of balanced quality tunes. Edifier’s R1850DB active bookshelf speakers are a stand out in both categories of style and performance. Its 4-inch midrange/woofer speaker drivers create rich lows. Meanwhile, the treble units produce clear highs. A perfectly tuned bookshelf speaker to suit your needs. When I buy speaker for my home studio, of course I also want to use them for mixing. What is missing for it to be a “proper monitoring solution”?
