About this deal

Hercules is a very well-known brand for making great microphone stands, guitar stands, and many other accessories. The Hercules Footrest does not disappoint. If your feet are level, then the bottom of the guitar is pushing against the inside of your right thigh, but it is difficult to hold up in this position, so you end up holding some of the weight of the guitar with your left hand–which makes playing really difficult. Now we’re starting to get into relatively “standard” guitar footrest territory. They all start to look alike. But then again, we are talking about a simple device. Another option other buying a special prop device is to use your guitar strap (I guess if you didn’t have a strap you’d have to buy one).

The most basic, proper guitar stool is just a platform you sit on to play guitar. A chair. A bench. A stool. But, not just any chair will do. For electric guitar players, I believe it’s a good tool to have in your arsenal and most of them are pretty inexpensive so I would still recommend getting one. I also think it’s a great thing to have some sort of attention on how your body feels while playing. Some didn’t like the foot angle at lower height settings, but there weren’t too many users echoing those thoughts. There are four different height settings to choose from. The minimum is 5.5 inches, and the maximum is 10 inches. If you plan on traveling, you can easily fold it to ensure it can fit in your bag. We figured it might be worth introducing one last budget footstool before moving on, and this one certainly fits the bill. My only issue with this one may be that it’s a little pricey, but Hercules does truly guarantee durability, so it might be worth the investment!

But there are so many footrests on the market… it can be hard to choose one that will work best with your needs and size. Nevertheless, even when it’s made out of high-quality aluminum and it has a rubber pad to provide comfort to your thigh, the ErgoPlay is not really that good of an option since the support depends on your leg, therefore it depends on whether you know how to sit properly or not. There’s no rubber grip on the platform, so your foot can slide off easily. Also, the feet aren’t coated or rubber-tipped, so it slides across the floor with the slightest nudge. Stability basically refers to how the rest sits on the floor, and how well it remains stationary while you’re resting your foot on it. Not everyone is comfortable playing at the same height, so we’d venture to guess height adjustability is critical, even if you don’t need all the settings in the world. On the other hand, what I do like is that you don’t have to elevate your foot in any way, which to me is slightly more comfortable than having a footrest. Having said that, I would recommend a footstep over both alternatives. Conclusion However, there is an alternate approach where the footrest is used under your right foot, with the guitar resting on your right leg. Although perhaps not as theoretically ideal, this helps prevent the slouching problem and is probably more of a comfortable position for someone who is used to having the sound hole of the guitar centered on their right thigh. Footrest under the right leg The best stool with a hanger is the Gator Works Deluxe. It’s also our best budget guitar stool. It has cool industrial looks if you’re into it, can be taken down if you’re not, and is as well-built as it is comfortable. Add to that it holds your axe when you aren’t playing and that stool is hard to beat. If you are still not sure what a guitar footstool is, then here is the answer. A guitar footstool is a small device where you place your foot and it helps you elevate your leg as to position the guitar in the proper playing place.

The swivel mechanism is smooth and offers very little resistance with high-quality bearings. If you’re recording in front of your desk and need to spin around to grab another piece of gear, it’s an enjoyable trip without a hint of wobble. If you have a practice space, and you spend a lot of time playing your instruments, it certainly can’t hurt to have one around. The footstool can be a great addition that pushes you in that direction and it is really helpful that you can get top-quality footstools at very low prices. So go out there, my friend and look for your favorite footstool and get ready to experience playing with a whole new level of control and relaxation. A footstool is a relatively simple device. It’s designed to help you elevate one leg while you’re playing guitar sitting down.Pommel Footstool Low Foot Stool Footrest Real Leather Seat with Natural Wooden Legs 34cm - Various colours are available. Four sturdy feet keep the guitarist footstool stood securely with each foot plate featuring an anti-slip rubber pad for stability.
