Throughout Kion's tenure as the leader of the Lion Guard, he was burdened by Scar's legacy, as he frequently worried that he would lose himself to evil and ambition as Scar had. After a particularly grueling encounter in which he nearly hurt his mother, Nala, with the Roar of the Elders, Kion took to looking at Rafiki's paintings of Scar. Bunga commented that Scar was the worst lion ever and that it was a good thing that Kion possessed the Roar of the Elders instead of Scar. Kion only reluctantly agreed. Even though she may make an effort to deny it, she is aware that beneath his chilly demeanour lies a guy who has the power to seduce her with his touch. They make a valiant effort not to give in to their embarrassing urges, but in the end, they are unsuccessful. Revealed in " Beshte and the Beast" from Disney Junior's The Lion Guard. During a Tenth Anniversary Reunion discussion panel, directors Rob Minkoff and Roger Allers were asked who Nala's father was. Minkoff joked that Allers was the father. The two directors then stated that Mufasa or Scar could be Nala's father. [36] However, the Lion Guard episode " Paintings and Predictions" revealed that Nala's father was a different lion, not Mufasa or Scar. Kiara remarked that her father believed that Scar had possessed a darkness from which he had been unable to escape, and Kovu wondered if he had the same darkness in him.Pride is destructive and will cause pain in your life and the lives of others. Leviathan will not be taken captive for a pet. He will not be bound and tamed. Leviathan must be destroyed, and only the Lord can destroy pride in our lives. We cannot draw him out, snare him, make a covenant with him, or bind him in our own strength. If we don’t allow the Lord to destroy pride in our lives, Leviathan will destroy us! Lion King Director Reacts to Honest Trailer! - Honest Reactions w/ Rob Minkoff on the Screen Junkies YouTube channel Ironically, Kovu becoming King of the Pride Lands by marrying Kiara, the future Queen Regnant of the Pridelands, was actually the ruling (and the supposedly dying wish) of Scar, but it would not fit up to Zira's plan of Kovu overthrowing Simba and Kiara.

The first question implies that there is no hook or line that is able to draw Leviathan out of the deep to land (v. 1). Not only does Leviathan live in the depths, but he is also so strong and powerful as to break any line or hook that man would use to snare him and draw him out. After the battle, Kion and Ono came to Rafiki to get their injuries examined. Rafiki concluded that Ushari's venom would remain inside Kion and slowly cause him to lose control of both his mind and the Roar. To prevent this, Rafiki suggested that the Lion Guard visit the Tree of Life for healing. When Janja's clan and the Lion Guard escaped the fire, Scar manifested in the blaze and claimed that Kion and the Lion Guard had perished. However, the team soon emerged alive, to Simba's relief. In the face of the Lion Guard's survival, Scar advised Kion to lead everyone out of the Pride Lands so that he and his army could take over the kingdom, but Kion refused to surrender. Despite the young lion's bravado, Scar gloated that Kion could not defeat him but knew where to find him should he ever attempt it. Scar then disappeared into the smoke. As seen in a painting as a teenager, not much about Kovu changes except that he has grown bigger and his mane has begun to develop itself. Big plans indeed! ―Scar meets Kiburi [src] Another way to look at Job 41:8 is to never get into strife or contention with a proud person. Pride will cause you to argue, fight, and be contentious. There is no rest if you find yourself in battle with someone controlled by Leviathan. Contentious and argumentative people are controlled by Leviathan. Mufasa originally appeared in the 1994 film The Lion King, voiced by James Earl Jones (whose audio clips are recycled in Kingdom Hearts II). In the film, he appears as the great and wise ruler of the Pride Lands. There, he lives happily with his mate, Sarabi, and their son, Simba. However, Mufasa's brother, Scar, secretly envies his reign as ruler of the Pride Lands and desires to overthrow him. At the beginning of the film, Mufasa teaches a young Simba about the kingdom and the responsibilities he will have once he is king. After forbidding Simba to journey into the Elephant Graveyard, he is called away to deal with hyenas in the Pride Lands. Through Scar's manipulation, Simba and his friend Nala travels into the Elephant Graveyard in Scar's plot to kill him, but Mufasa fortunately arrives and saves Simba and Nala from being killed by Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed. Mufasa later scolds Simba for disobeying his warning, though he forgives him shorty afterwards. The next day, Mufasa's steward, Zazu, informs him about an unusual migration of wildebeest herd in the lands. When Scar reveals to Mufasa that Simba was trapped in a gorge with the wildebeest, Mufasa rushes to save his son from the stampede. Although he was successful in rescuing Simba, Mufasa was struggling at the edge of the cliff. He begs Scar to help him, but Scar flung his brother off the cliff and watch as he is trampled to death. Deceived by Scar that it was his fault his father died, Simba runs away from the Pride Lands. Many years later, Mufasa's spirit reveals to Rafiki that Simba is still alive, prompting the shaman to search for him. Rafiki takes Simba to a small, magical pool which brings upon Mufasa's ghost up in the sky. As the rightful heir to the Pride Lands, Mufasa encourages Simba that to remember who he is and return to the Pride Lands. Following Scar's defeat, Mufasa reminds Simba one last time to remember who he is.

Think songs not scenes — though there are dramatic interludes and the pacing and setlist follow the well-known story through from “Circle of Life” to “Hakuna Matata” to the dramatic coronation of Simba as the new king, the show doesn’t weigh itself down with the need to explicitly retell the story everyone knows by heart. In a deleted scene from The Lion King II: Simba's Pride, Zira states that Scar's dying wish was for the Outsiders to train Kovu to become king. This suggests that the hyenas did not eat Scar. [54]In the seasons after the Lion Guard's downfall, Scar continued to vie for his brother's throne. After the birth of his nephew, Simba, Scar made plans to dispose of both Mufasa and Simba. With the help of his hyena minions, he set off a wildebeest stampede that threatened Simba's life and thus lured Mufasa into danger. Mufasa managed to rescue Simba, but when he climbed up the side of the gorge toward safety, he was intercepted and thrown to his death by Scar. After Mufasa's fall, Scar convinced Simba that he was to blame for the death, after which he drove the cub into self-exile. After his failed assassination attempt, Scar journeyed to the Elephant Graveyard and met up with his hyena friends, Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed. Though the hyenas were happy to see him, Scar only reluctantly threw them food and criticized them for their failure to kill Simba and his friend, Nala. An indignant Banzai asked if they were expected to kill Mufasa as well, and Scar replied, "Precisely." He then plotted with his minions to assassinate both Mufasa and Simba so that he could become the king of the Pride Lands; in return, he promised to give the hyenas ample food.
