Korg provide "KORG KONTROL Editor" software that lets you freely customize the settings of the nanoKONTROL Studio. You can specify the MIDI messages that are assigned to the sliders, knobs, and buttons, customizing the unit in detail to suit your needs. Nothing in this agreement shall affect the statutory rights of any person dealing with Korg as a consumer.

Here's how it worked: When I have set my Global settings on the NK Studio I try to write these settings to the controller and I get a message that says "Failed to Open MIDI port." And indicates port 0. Korg also provide a plug-in for using nanoKONTROL Studio with Apple GarageBand/Logic Pro X. Simply install this plugin and connect it to the nanoKONTROL Studio.
